Body Champ IT8070 Great Deal!
Wow! A double surprise! Amazon delivered this product in 2 days with Prime, beating their promised delivery date by 3 days - I was surprised with a product that weighs over 50lbs., it arrived here fast! Plus, it is everything they described. The package arrived in A1 condition, the box was perfectly intact. The assembly went smoothly, although you will need a couple of metric wrenches (10mm and 17mm) to tighten down the few bolts you have to install. They do provide a multi-wrench with the hardware, but you will need more. The instructions are good, well written and illustrated. Plan on about an hour, if you are like me, who wants to understand how it goes together before he starts building it. After assembly, the wife and I went through preliminary adjustments and I was the first one to try it. I had no idea how 67 years of gravity had affected my body until I climbed aboard - - When I started to invert for the first time in many, many years, 25 degrees felt like a lot - 55 degrees felt like my entire lower face was trying to melt down and force my eyes closed! Not very comfortable, and time to back it down a bit. I'm 5'-8" 168lbs, and was rather athletic until diabetes slowed me down, for reference. I tried it a second time later in the day, and limiting the inversion angle to 25 degrees was comfortable. We both agreed limiting the angle and building inversion time over a while would be most comfortable and productive. After all, this should be a pleasant experience. This is our first day's experience, and I will update this post as we gain more experience and familiarity with inversion after all these years. The main points at this time are that the equipment is commercial grade, well built, and easy to assemble - And it works as described! Getting to 90 degrees and 15 minutes appears to be a longer term goal, and the hardest part! UPDATE I've used this product now for almost 3 weeks. I've progressed to 45 degrees, which was quite easy. I'll add to my "main points" by saying this thing really works! Back pain is gone already, and some sciatica in my right leg that was torturing me for months and making it difficult to walk, has gone away. Those miserable phantom pain shots (diabetes) in the extremities (and elsewhere) have stopped for the first time in years. Hard to believe it was all simply pinched nerves, but I'm fast becoming a believer. I do it for 10 minutes daily. This is amazing.

Got Back Pain?! Hang in There... It Really Helps!
I have been using this machine pretty consistently for about 8 months now, so I feel like I am in a good place to review it based on my experience. This is my first and only inversion table. I have no real basis to compare it to any others on the market, just going off of this machine. First, the good: ~It was a pretty quick assembly for my husband, but he is a mechanic. ~It gives a good stretch to my back and helps release catches in my vertebrae, especially in my thoracic region, which is tough for me to stretch on my own. ~It has improved my back pain, allowing for more affordable spacing in my chiropractic visits. ~It has a smooth motion, without feeling like I am falling backwards. (**considering adjusting the length as described below) ~It is fully adjustable for all different body types. Many people have used this machine and it is easy to adjust for all their needs, too. ~There are safety mechanisms in place that make me feel more comfortable when practically standing on my head. ~It's affordable, and I believe it has ultimately saved me some money. The not so good: ~It is HUGE. I wish I had a place to put it up out of sight sometimes, but there really is no easy way to do that. Sure, it folds up flattish, but it is still a large piece of equipment. ~The board could have a bit more padding. It didn't bother me as much at first, but I feel like the more I use it, the more aware of the bitty layer of padding between me and the board. ~The foam padding to the feet/ ankles leaves a bit to be desired. It does flatten out more over time, especially if you are on the heavier side. It can be uncomfortable on bare feet and I very much recommend wearing shoes (like sneakers) when inverting to help with this issue. I absolutely can relate to folks who feel it cuts off circulation at the top of the foot. I could probably invert longer if this part were more comfortable. ~I do not feel the length is completely accurate. When I had it set for my actual height (5'4"), I had to really fight to invert. This whole "put your hands over your head one at a time"? Yeah, no, that did not work. I really had to fight to work it over, which is not conducive to alleviating back pain. I got on it one day after one of my daughters had been on it and it inverted MUCH more smoothly for me. Turns out she had adjusted for her height (5'2") and this worked SO much better for me. I now keep it set at that height and, like I said, it's a much more smooth invert. If you are not experiencing a smooth inversion, consider actually shortening the machine so that you are a little more "top heavy". It worked for me. ~I don't have a whole lot of confidence in that tiny yellow bar. One day my adult son did not return the strap/ clip after he went into a full invert (140 degrees), meaning I did not catch like it was supposed to. The moment the table hit the bar, the bar bent. Yes, I absolutely should have assured the strap was in place, but that bar's job is to prevent a full inversion and it did that... once... but I don't believe it would be able to do it again. I started off very slow and cautiously, using the slightest inversion (22 degrees) and only a minute or two, tops. The first few times, I literally felt like I was STANDING on my head! It's amazing how odd that sensation is when you are not accustomed to it. I've gradually increased my times and my tilt, I am in the 40 degree range now and that is where I am most comfortable. I can stay 5-10 minutes now and even occasionally do some light exercises on the machine (please do this with care, if at all). If I am away from home for a few days, I can't wait to get home and "hang". It has made a lot of difference for me and my back pain. It is not a cure-all, but very much has it's place in my arsenal against chronic pain issues.
