I've struggled with severely dry lips ever since I used Roaccutane for my acne years ago. My lips would crack, scar, and even develop dark spots, and I tried countless products to no avail. Most lip balms would either feel greasy, wipe off easily, or require constant reapplication without actually healing my lips. I was in constant discomfort. Physically and emotionally. I was so self conscious and overall depressed about it. After much research and reading other people's experiences, I finally came across Dr. Dan's Cortibalm. This balm has been a life-saver. I only need to apply it every other night, and my lips have stayed hydrated and comfortable ever since. It's lightweight and sits well under lipstick, which has made me feel more confident. Even the dark spots have started fading over time, and I no longer feel the need to constantly wear lipstick to cover them up. It even works when my lips are sore and peeling. Or when its dry from cold weather. This is the only product that has actually healed my lips and prevented that dry, tight feeling. I truly wish I had found it sooner. If I did I probably wouldn't have ended up with the dark spots in the first place. I've been using it about 10 years now and been recommending it to friends. Never gotten any negative feedback. Pros: Effectively heals severely dry lips. Lightweight and comfortable for everyday use. Helps fade dark spots and can be worn under lipstick.

I had some kind of reaction to a new cream I was trying because it made my lips so dry and rough and therefore itchy. I pretty much gave myself fuller lips from the rubbing to relieve the itchiness lol. I wasn’t too sure about this because I’m not going to lie, the packaging made me feel like it was going to smell like medicine. But I bought it out of desperation and of course it turns out I was worried for nothing. Is it the most pleasant smelling? No, but it’s a very very faint scent and it goes away before you even have time to think about it to be honest. To me it’s that kind of scent that you smell when a brand claims it is unscented but you can still smell a little bit of something - it’s not too chemically but there is a trace of something there. More importantly, this balm has helped my lips, it doesn’t burn or feel any different than if you put on a normal chapstick or lip balm. Normally I would avoid anything with petroleum jelly in it but in this case I feel the need for this product’s capabilities outweighs everything. I didn’t really need 3 of these but it’s nice to know I have 2 spares just in case - and I appreciate the fact that they are each in their own packaging to preserve them until I use them. After a day of using this, my poor little lips are not 100% just yet but they no longer itch and therefore I feel confident my old self will make a full recovery.

Everyone has their favorite Chapstick, or with Farm or ointment that they use to keep their severely dried, cracked lips hydrated. I purchased this from my dermatologist as it was in a bowl at the checkout stand. I was surprised to see it because it wasn’t one of those high priced top name brand products. I asked my dermatologist why she was offering that at the counter and her comment was this is the very best product to keep your lips hydrated and if you use it every day, you will see a difference in your lips in less than seven days. I think I saw a difference in two days. I buy this in a package of three every time I get it and keep them in every room in the house. Is the very best.

Great product in comparison to alternatives, it gets the job done

I have had a lip issue for 9 months. My Dermatologist told me to use straight up old school black label chap stick and or Vaseline. Neither worked and my lips hurt, split and pealed every day. This product was working on one day. I saw improvements the first 8 hours. About 5 days later my lips were 80% better and after one and a half weeks completely healed. Now I just carry it in my pocket and use 1-3 times a day as needed for maintenance.
