Simple to use, now in use for its 5th Christmas
Dependable, mechanical timer switch which we use for our Christmas tree lights each year. Arguably, that means it spends 46 weeks a year in a box, but I this is now its 5th Christmas and it still does the job well! Easy to set up and no complicated multi-day digital menu to work through! It's not silent running (the fifth star would be for that), though the sound isn't intrusive during the day at all, just if there's nothing else going on at all. We don't have it in a bedroom, so not an issue here.

good value and simple to use
press a segment down to make it switch on, pull it up for off. to set the current time twist the whole bezel to put the correct time by a printed arrow. simple. because of it's small size it can only do blocks of 30minutes on or off. the physically larger timers can do 15minute blocks, but i use it for timing the recharging of an electric bicycle battery, 90minutes, so i press down 3 blocks (3 x 30minutes), and can rest easy knowing the mains electricity is shut off after 90 minutes of charging, lowering the risk of the battery catching on fire. a very useful and well priced timer.

A Little Difficult to Set Up
It took longer than it should have to set this up to work. The little prongs that trigger the on off switch are very difficult to push in and pull out, so setting the times for off and on is challenging. Also it works just the opposite to what is the standard, where the 'o'n position has the pins pushed in.

Cheap and does the job.
Purchased purely for my Christmas lights. It has now been working for 5 days and keeps time. Only thing I could moan about it the easy in pulling the pins out. I`m happy with this time switch.
