Prodyne Prep & Slice Cutting Board 9 ½" x 6" x ⅞" transparent 805B

I needed a good cheese and vegetable slicer that wouldn't break the bank. This one did so in spades! It's tough enough to handle the hardest cheeses and can cut other things fairly well. So far, I have used it on extra sharp cheddar, Mozzerella and even kraft cheese loaf. Pros: nice high tensile strength wire, hinged lever design, wide flat wood base, easy to keep clean. cons: limited to size of item that can be sliced THe wood base makes this the perfect addition to any kitchen. With it's ease of cleanup, medium size and strong cutting wire, it makes short work of slicing cheeses. One thing, though, you really do need to see in order to use this product to thinly slice cheese. Not so easy when you are totally blind like I am. still, it's a lot better than those $10 handle cheese slicers you get in the store that fall apart as soon as a hard cheese is cut into. definitely a thumbs up on this one.
