Since the ears are somewhat sealed by the buds they do filter out a lot of background noise

Yes you can use each earpiece independently and in this case if one earpiece runs out of battery after 6-8 hours, you will be able to use the other earpiece for an additional 6-8 hours.

Q: Can you confirm as stated that these have "latest 24-bit aptx audio technology" as in they are aptx-hd / aptx-ll capable?

The HELM TW5.0 product uses standard aptX technology. The aptX HD or LL tech is not available yet for True Wireless that we are aware of.

Q: How's latency in mobile gaming on an aptx enabled device like my Samsung Galaxy 10e?

I've only used them for music using my internet browsing app or YouTube. I've had zero latency issues.
