Better than the ones you leave in the controller but make sure you buy extra. We'd had 3 sets of the batteries that come with battery covers with holes in and a dock you put the controller in to charge when not in use. After a while they always stop making contact and not charging. Only my son uses the xbox so the 2 battery version is ideal. He charges one and uses the other. If 2 people use it consider the 4 battery charger, or at least 2 extra batteries. These take less than a minute to change over so he's never without his controller or on a wire. If you know you're going to pull an all nighter change the battery anyway. It lasts for days and days. They charge in an hour or two with very clear indicators so you know it's ready.

Bought this some time ago and it’s still working perfectly

Bought this charger for my 16 year old son who’s attached to his Xbox controller. He got a new Xbox one S original compatible wireless controller for Christmas and the rechargeable battery of his old one was a different size. He was going through AA batteries and costing us a fortune, so I decided to invest in a rechargeable battery gadget and chose this one as it has 3 rechargeable battery packs. Perfect if he forgets to charge them as there should be one available to keep him getting withdrawal symptoms because he can’t play. The battery charger came quickly, when charging it is easy to see and the light becomes static when done. Would have given 5 stars as there was no charging cable included, I did look for one. However I can’t remember if the details said it came with one, probably not. Having said that it does have a handy built in USB cable, that is wrapped neatly around the edge of the battery charger, plus there is a point for a C USB cable and micro USB port. I guess I wanted everything. Not able to confirm how long the charge last on these batteries as I only get grunts from my son. Overall all seems good.

Unfortunately you can't charge in controller, but each battery lasts days, so it's not really an issue. Very impressed with the longevity. I bought a spare so I could always have two in the charger.. I really didn't need to.

Excellent battery packs and charger for XBOX series X controllers (possibly series S as well). Saves money on batteries and having the two batteries means hours of play time.

Just the job. I've found they will charge normal rechargeable batteries also

One of the batteries is/was pretty much dead on arrival, only lasts an hour or two. The other however, last like 10 hours, which is plenty.
