VD-10 D4 10" 800W Max Power Dual 4 Ohm Shallow Mount Car Subwoofer

UPDATE*** 4 months later these subs are still hitting harder than ever almost better then when I first reviewed them. Then lows you can geel now, they are finally worked in. Over all happy. From the time I’m in my truck to the time Im out of it these are pounding. I had blown my old school audio bahns subs. I decided to go new for sound and before these I got two JL audio subs not impressed whatsoever things started over heating. I returned them and purchased these skar audios as they were a DVC unlike the SVC jls.

This sub far exceeded my expectations, it’s not to heavy, it hits ridiculously hard and packs a powerful punch for a 10 inch sub, the shallow mount is a major plus, when people see it they are drawn to it due to its deceptive appearance, for under $100 you can’t go wrong!! Amazing sub, amazing value, amazing price.

Installed in the factory box on a 2024 Ford Mustang GT. Took some trimming of the factory box but it will fit. Weather stripping under the edges to help seal and sounds AMAZING for a factory radio. Well worth the money and will be even better with an amp and a Skar box.

Nice and loud for very little money, sound quality not amazing, but good for the price

It's a very good speaker. I stuck it into the stock enclosure of my ford explorer, I drilled with a hole saw and cut with a hot knife to enlarge the opening and then packed some sound insulating materials in there, and used some giant structural screws to fasten it down tight. Then I put the enclosure in the space for it in the back, ran the wires, and put more structural screws through the vehicle and enclosure. I packed more sound insulation into any hollow space within a few feet of the speaker, and then injected it with a high density expanding polyurethane foam. I welded a shield for it since my tools are always smacking around back there and the stock cover didnt fit since the speaker was larger than the stock one. I slammed some more structural screws in the shield, and then went around the rest of the car and tidied up any rattling plastic crap by either ripping it off or sending a screw through it. Sounds like a top quality sound system. I can play music at the highest volume setting and it sounds so clean and crisp and absolutley booming. It might not be the prettiest installation(its literally a work truck), but that wasn't the goal. The performance is first and foremost and I think i nailed that.
