I've used a lot of painter's tape over the years, and 3M remains my go-to. I haves tried cheaper off brand and simply not worth it. It sticks well to various surfaces without damaging them and removes effortlessly, even after a couple of weeks. Simply it’s a reliable tape that works every time as it is supposed to. It might cost a little more than generic brands, but for me, the time saved makes it worth every penny.

Tape itself is fine. I order these for masking of painted/resin application edges. I order the multi packages because it is less likely the edges of the tape rolls are damaged (dented/torn) during shipment. The last time they were dropped in a shipping bag with no padding. roll sleeve was broken into three pieces inside th bag when it got to me and the edges banged up. While he tape is still useable, it isn't good for masking edges. So not great.

Same product, better price than big box stores! Why not get more for your money? Holds ok. Tears easy. Great size tape for walls I'm painting.
