I did some research and found Nuvo and decided to try it out. I’m glad I did. I’ve added photos to show the HUGE difference a can of paint makes. It’s remarkable. I decided to “white”wash my fireplace using the Driftwood color and water. It took a couple coats...was very easy to do and looks great! The cabinets were a pain to paint but they always are. The most important thing is CLEANING your cabinets well. If you think they’re clean...scrub again. I thought I had done a good job but unfortunately, I didn’t do as well as I thought. There are a few places that the paint is cracking because there was still some greasy/dirty areas. It’s not overly noticeable and I decided to leave it as is and go with a slightly “rustic” look (ie lazy). There is no need to sand with this product which was great. And I chose not to remove the doors which was fine too. I didn’t prime and it only took 2 coats to get great coverage. I’m pleased with the outcome. I chose not to use a sealant (but I debated on putting on a coat of polyacrylic)...so we will see how the cabinet paint holds up over time. This product goes a long way too. The kit come with 2 small cans of paint but I purchased 2 extra “just in case”. For my fireplace and the kitchen cabinets, I only used 1 1/2 cans. I have enough left over to paint the cabinets in our two bathrooms! Overall, this was a great buy. It was easy to use. It turned out great.
