Being able to see is "kinda" important. While the factory incandescent bulbs of my '99 Jeep Cherokee were good, I was searching for something better. Being that my vehicle is wired using the "CK Method," I needed to make sure any LED replacements were compatible with this wiring system. (LED bulbs that are incompatible will blow fuses immediately, so it's definitely something buyers need to be aware of.) These Auxito LED bulbs ARE compatible with both "Standard" and "CK" wiring, and are designed to eliminate the need to check proper polarity - in other words, these bulbs will work no matter which way you install them into your sockets, on the first try. It takes more circuit design know-how and electronic components to achieve this, so I appreciate the extra thought and production costs invested - Auxito could have taken the cheapest route to maximize profits, but they didn't. According to what I've been able to glean from the item description, these bulbs are not compatible with vehicles that use CANBUS. I don't have any vehicles that use CANBUS communications, so I cannot verify - however, there is a CANBUS-compatible version from Auxito; if you have a vehicle that uses CANBUS, I would highly suggest you choose that bulb instead.
