how does the thundershirt work?

I think it's the same principal that Temple Grandin used to calm down cows and herself (she had autism). It applies light pressure to the chest, stomach, and back of the dog. We ordered it, after noticing that placing a wet and heavy towel on our Bernese Mtn. Dog calmed him down. The Thundershirt though, calms him immediately and doesn't get everything wet!! It's a great buy!! We don't use it everyday....only when he seems under stress (constant panting, destructive behavior, pacing).

how do we figure if this will fit our dog?

they do run a bit small. I bought one of each size because I have multiple dogs. I have two Golden's so I bought the Large for a 70 pound dog and X-Large for a 90 pound dog and they fit great. They should be a little snug but keep in mind that they do run a little smaller. I would say they do not run a whole size smaller though.

Has anyone used it for their dog during a road trip?

I used it for a road trip and my dog was calmer than previous road trips. She tends to get car sick, but with a Dramamine and the Thundershirt she was fine.

I have a shiba inu that is about 25-30 pounds what size should i get?

The most important measurement is the girth or chest size. You want to make sure you get a good snug fit. A chest size of 16"-23" is a small (15-25lbs) and 18"26" is a medium (20-50lbs). Go with the smaller size to ensure a snug fit. Hope this helps!

The reviews and advertisements are 100% true! My anxious Beagle/Shepherd mix is horrible during storms, and in every day life when his anxiety levels rise. Wearing this shirt for him helps him sleep through thunderstorms. If the noise wakes him, he's not running around the house panting and drooling - he simply raises his head, growls for a moment and curls back up to go back to sleep. During fireworks, he's not running in circles, he's cuddled next to me. This is an amazing product! Last night, I used this shirt on him because I had a rough day at work and knew I would have a restless sleep. All you dog owners out there know that our pets feed off our moods. By putting this shirt on him, he was able to NOT react to my tossing and turning, and as a result, I got a better sleep, even in my stressful mood! The only negative I have is that it seems that the velcro will pull on the shirt material, causing snags, etc. if the velcro isn't carefully applied to the receiving strips. But who cares - the dog doesn't, so I don't :) If I have to buy another next year, I absolutely will!

Preis Leistung passt. Sehr gute Verarbeitung. Mehrfach gewaschen, bisher keine Mängel. Klettverschluss funktioniert auch nach über 3 Jahren ohne Probleme, keine Löscher oder Verzogen. Hierbei handelt es sich um keine Wunderweste die mit sofortiger Wirkung einen Hund von Stress und Angst befreit. Es ist aber eine sehr gute Trainingsunterstützung für Hunde die Berührung als angenehm empfinden. Bei gut aufgebauten Training kann das Shirt eine beruhigende Wirkung auf den Hund haben.

I have a labrador X who's terrified of loud rain and thunder. While this jacket isn't a 100% cure it certainly does calm her a great deal. Previously she would find a small space to hide and refuse to move but now she'll at least follow me around and lay at my feet.
