is the screen cover is 29 in diameter only or is 29 in the whole fire pit? can you please let me know thank you

I just walked outside with my yardstick; the screen cover is about 22.5 inches in diameter-the 29 inch diameter is the distance between the outside edges of the pit. (There's a pretty wide "lip" between the grill and the outside edge.) Hope that answers your question-

Another purchaser stated that the manual says not to use charcoal. Does anyone know why?

Charcoal burns to hot the fire pit is made to have wood burn in it.

Do the legs attach to the bowl or a ring piece the bowl sits in?

The legs are preassembled on brackets attached to the fire bowl. They do not come off.

Where can i get a cooking grate for this item?
