Great wistle. Worked great. Yes, it is very loud!

I had a Fox 40 that I loved for getting the attention of 150 loud kids. I thought I lost it. Went on Amazon to purchase another and came across the Fox 40 Sonic Blast. I wanted something louder and boy did it deliver. It's actually TOO LOUD. So loud that it hurts my own ears when I blow it. I believe this would be great for boating, hiking, putting into an emergency kit, maybe for emergency crews trying to find lost people, etc. Definitely for outdoor use. I can see it being great for emergencies, when you aren't using it all the time. I would not recommend using this frequently, such as for sports. It's just too loud. I would recommend using ear pro with this whistle. This will be going into a backpack for hiking and I'll be going back to the original Fox 40.

Ok, so I bought this for school. I substitute teach full time and today's kids are, well, little angels. I can't raise my voice real loud due to a medical thing. I originally thought I was being smart when I started at a new district (Middle School my first day) and brought a referee whistle with me. Boy way I wrong. Almost every teacher had a whistle hanging from their ID lanyard. Fast forward to my first "wonderful" bunch of students. I had to use my whistle because raising my voice did nothing to the 4th graders. A girl actually walked up to me and said they weren't going to do what I say because they don't fear me like a regular teacher because I really can't punish them. At least they are honest. Needless to say the whistle was basically useless. They ignored it. I searched Amazon and found this whistle. I found a few other teacher reviews that said this was perfect so I bought it. I have only used it once. When I did it worked perfect. The class immediately stopped acting up. There were a few yelling Ahhh!, but that was the point. I didn't blow it full force because I was indoors and that would be too loud. Three boys actually asked "Was that a Fox 40?". They knew about this whistle. I now only have to say "Don't make me blow my whistle" to any class in the school. Make sure to plug your own ears before using it. I didn't and my ears rang for a bit.

I bought the cheapest color they had at the time. Would have rather had a normal black whistle... But it was almost twice as much at the time... Fine gimme white. If I could have had black for the same price I'd have given it 5 stars. It is really loud and you don't have to blow very hard to get a VERY loud whistle. It is also seemingly impossible to overblow. I tend to overblow a ton; so the cheap 5 packs for $3 at the sporting goods store just doesn't do me any favors. I'd buy it again... I'd buy one for my whole staff if they were $4 each instead of $7-15. As I write this they are grouped tighter in price but it is still annoying ($8.38 - $13.11).

Perfect for lifeguards! The adjustable neck piece is perfect so it doesn't come off in the water and the pull-away piece makes removal very quick in emergencies! Nice material that doesn't get mildew inside.

I’ve been reffing soccer games for 5 years, and this is probably the best whistle I’ve ever used. To start with the lanyard is a great quality lanyard, thick and feels good quality, not just a normal cheap lanyard. Additionally, the whistle is EXTREMELY loud. High pitched and I guarantee you the players will hear this whistle for sure. The mouth grip on it adds something to it, I can’t pin point what it is but it just feels good lol.

After purchased, it takes very long duration, got frustrated but After I realized that I ordered a Foreign Product, I just wait for Delivery. It reached before the Time, I really Liked the product, very smooth and Sharp sound.

I am a lifeguard and this whistle is perfect as it is by far the loudest one in a very busy pool, all other lifeguards asking which one it is because it's so good. Had this for 3 months of high intensity use and showing no signs of wear or performance drop

The whistle is extremely loud and high pitch. Perfect. But I wondered about hearing damage.
