As someone who values both energy efficiency and lighting quality, I recently decided to try out the G9 LED Light Bulbs in my home. This review aims to provide a detailed assessment of their performance, considering factors such as brightness, color temperature, energy efficiency, and overall value for money.1. Not very bright but it's maximum wattage I could have. I only hope this last long than some other I bought.

Did what I neeed them to do, are brighter than I expected

Bulbs just what I expected.

First anyone considering buying G9 LED bulbs should check the size of the bulb since they are not all the same, power rating, more is brighter, colour temperature, these claim to be 3000k which is slightly whiter than warm white but not so you would notice, and light output in lumens or lm, less lumens is dimmer. Finally if you use a standard dimmer switch or lamp with halogen G9 bulbs it may not work smoothly with non dimmable LED bulbs.Anyway I have two light fittings in our lounge each with six G9 bulbs, total twelve bulbs. Each bulb is encased in a narrow glass diffuser and until recently I have not been able to replace the halogen bulbs with the LED equivalent since the previous generations seem to have been larger. However they now seem to be smaller so I bought these bulbs on an Amazon offer and the cost worked out at just over £1.10 per bulb. At a saving of 23w per bulb and 35p/kwh the pay back time on these bulbs is about 120 hours of use, which is not much, now long dark nights are with us. Thereafter there are savings, and in my case with 12 bulbs that will mean £100s over the years.The replacement LED bulbs fitted into my diffuser with room to spare and now there is not much chance of the glass shattering due to heat as has happened with the hotter running halogen lamps. The bulbs are a much better smoother fit into the bulb holder compared to the halogen bulbs and now sit further in. As noted above the bulb colour is slightly whiter than the warm white of the halogen bulbs, but not so you would really notice, but they are brighter. And they run without flicker. Our light fitting did work off dimmer switches but we rarely dimmed the lights so I have simply replaced the dimmer switch with a standard 2 gang switch.All in all a good purchase so far. How long the bulbs last I will find out but because they were so cheap I bought a box of spares.So if you are still running several halogen G9 and don't need light dimming now is the time to change to non dimmable LED bulbs especially with energy costs going up and not likely to come back down, if ever.

For a 5w bulb these are quite bright have theses bulbs in landing light, and stairway is good and bright, so yes I'd recommend this item.
