Review: instructions are wrong - found out the buttons will only light up in a different configuration to actual guide, had to check YouTube video for same and video was wrong but look at the comments about the wiring to find the right way to install cables. White buttons received are also smaller than the others with no sticker like other comments, yeah they mentioned u might get version 1 or 2. Stick screws also way to short had to removed the metal plate to install without it. Pain in butt to have to take it all apart for return.

**Q: What size holes do I need to drill for the buttons and joystick? In inches or fractions please.**
A: I used a 1 1/8" spade bit for the large buttons & a 7/8" spade bit for the smaller buttons & hole for the joystick. I guess a 30mm & a 24mm step drill respectively would work if you are only drilling through a thin panel.

**Q: Can the Joystick be set to 4-way only? I see a picture indicating it can be changed from 8 to 4-way however this is not listed in the description.**
A: Yes.  There is a plastic piece that you take off, rotate, and put back on.  The first time you take it off, it is very stiff and difficult.

**Q: How do you suggest we protect the usb encoder board? does it need to be placed inside an enclosure?**
A: Most people do put all this into an enclosure. If you search for arcade controllers you can see where it’s placed inside the arcade box with other stuff like a raspberry pi for example.

**Q: Does this work for sanwa joystick ?**
A: Yes

Easy to essemble, Retro Feel. Product received as described. For the 8 large buttons use a 1 1/8 inch drill bit. 2 Smaller buttons and joystick require a 1 inch drill bit hole. Very happy with product. Yes there is clicking sounds hitting buttons and using joystick, but this is how it was in the arcade. The music and noise usually drowned it out. Already recommended to friends.
