I use Precious Cat clumping litter now.** A: I really like this litter. The crystals do not clump. They absorb moisture and liquid. When the cat urinates the urine is absorbed by the crystals. For the feces, the crystals absorb any moisture that is in the feces so that when you go to scoop it out it seems dry. What I really like is that you don't have to change this litter until all the white crystals seem to appear yellow. I also added a little at a time as I saw the need. My breeder recommended this litter when I got my two Abyssinian kittens last year. She said she only changes the litter if she sees moisture in the bottom of the pan or it looks too yellow. My cats didn't seem to have any problems with this litter......and there is little to no dust unlike clay litter. As for clay litters, I find Arm & Hammer the best as far as the least amount of dust. **Q: what is the weight ?** A: Sorry I can't answer this. I order this through a cat sanctuary's Amazon wish list and it is shipped directly to them. I never see it. **Q: How does this compare to the Clay litter from the company? We have Short Hairs and were just wondering if this is better?** A: Its apples and oranges. This crystal litter is the best of crystal litters, for my needs. I have 3 cats and two have those long hair tufts between the toes. Clay is gross to me now that I've used crystal litter. Jmo, ymmvv. Give it a try. **Q: Can you flush this?** A: I would not recommend flushing this cat litter down the toilet. I have 2 female cats and do a full change out of my box every 7-10 days. I use an auto cleaning box and mix in about 1/3 of my litter as slide clumping litter to help with the automatic litter box catching the poop. I take the waste bag every day or two. The Elsey significantly reduces cat odor. There is little to no odor, and I don't need to empty the litter box every single day like I had to with traditional litters. I've been using Nature's Miracle Crystal Cat Litter, so when for some inexplicable reason it doubled in price just when I needed it, I decided to check out this Precious Cat brand litter as it was about the same price as the Nature's Miracle.Well, it worked okay. The Precious Cat brand still worked infinitely better than traditional cat litter, even the "no odor" cat litters. But, I still don't think it eliminated the odor as well as the Nature's Miracle. And I noticed that the Precious Cat brand crystals didn't absorb the moisture as well as the Nature's Miracle brand.
