Great for strong urine
My cat's urine has always been extremely concentrated even though he's hydrated. I'm talking 3 days and the whole litter box has to be changed with twice daily scooping of clay litter. Clay was definitely not an option for me. I started out with Pretty Litter, but the subscription got a little invasive for me so I looked for alternatives. I really like this one, and since the bag is so big it would last me a couple months. However, my partner is the one who spends the most time dealing with the litter as he is retired and I work a ton. His preference is for clumping litter for the urine but it gors pretry fast, so we came to a compromise. If you're interested in ideas, here's what we do. At the beginning of the month when it's time to change the bag completely, I put a layer of this down on the bottom first to act as a base layer. The crystals are small and catch a lot. Then I add a layer of a brand (usually Neon) that is also silica gel but is clumping. This way, my cat can urinate and whatever doesn't clump gets absorbed by this. TMI maybe, but when my cat was young, an older cat taught him to pee in the front and poop in the back, so cleaning it out is super quick and easy. Just a method that works for me!

Ok
Product was ok. I've use dr elsey's products before I'm happy with the fact my cat doesn't mind using it hes a senior and has issues with his litter. Hes very particular and will find another area if his box isn't to his approval, my only issues is that the crystals are really big and jagged and doesn't filter really well when cleaning with my shifter. Wish the crystals were a bit more finely grained.

I like the larger bags
I'm not sure. I have one 14-year-old female cat. She has been using the silica litter for 3 years with out issues. I bought this because there is more in it. She started defecating out of her box. She will urinate in it but that is it. I took her to the vet, and she is fine. So, I don't know if she just doesn't like this litter or what.

Works Well
I had used Fresh Step crystals for years. Then they became cost prohibitive to me. I then switched to the Frisco brand of crystals on Chewy. Now they are out of stock. After much consideration, I decided to try Dr. Elsey's. They are more costly than Frisco, but being available helps. They seem to absorb really well and my cats had no problem with the switch. So if you also are in a quandry about crystals availablity try these. I think you will be happy with your choice.

DUST ! Sooo much dust !
Tried this instead of the STRESS PROTECTION because it was on sale but it is SO dusty ..I mean soooo much dust . The crystals are huge and the dust was making my kitty sneeze . The Dr Elsey’s Stress protection crystal litter is the top imo. If I could find something like it that wasn’t so expensive I’d switch but it is the best I’ve ever come across and I’ve tried a lot .

Fine crystal litter
This is good litter. It is very fine, so soft on paws, it absorbs pee and dessicates poo, and it is more fragrant than some litter I have tried. I WISH THAT Amazon would put it on a subscription.

Best Crystal Litter
This brand is my favorite litter. It absorbs scent very well and there have been fewer accidents since I started using it. It's important to scoop and stir daily, otherwise it will smell and get very gel-y. The dust is generally low, but not 0. If you do step on a piece of loose litter on the floor, you WILL feel it as it is quite sharp.
