This board is controlled by a Nuvoton MS51FB9AE on my ZFC39 V2.0 board that I received a year ago. I'm putting it inside a solid state linear shortwave amplifier, and I need any RF noise from this board to be addressed so it doesn't affect the amp or reception. After some work, it's working great and keeps my fans silent at the 20% duty (3x Noctua NF-P14s redux 1500rpm) when the amp is not working hard. As-is, the controller creates radio interference noise in the medium- and shortwave ranges, due to the 25 kHz PWM that is applied at all times except when the fans are driven to 100% duty. I've tested with a good clean bench power supply, confirming the RFI comes from the board and emanates from the fans as well. The noise is sufficiently abated by shielding the controller, a dedicated AC/DC transformer for it, and its fan cables up to the point where they exit the amp, with perforated metal mesh conductive tape and grounding the tape to the amp case. In my setup, the "SY" pads are soldered together, which causes all three fan outputs to be controlled identically by the single temperature reading for FAN1, and the two potentiometers for setting fixed FAN2 and FAN3 speeds are ignored.

Does what it says with some limitations
As other reviewers mentioned, there is no real manual and Youtube is your friend! Fortunately someone did a great video about it (title: ZFC39 PWM Fan controller). Key point is that any dip-switch settings only take effect after powered off and on again. It supports three fans, but only the first one is temperature controlled. The other two are via the potentiometers. You can only specify some temperature levels, but not the hysteresis. Wish it only supported one fan, but gave you more options on base speed (my fan didn't even spin at the possible base speed settings), start and max. temperature.

It worked great. My wife made a home made box fan to help her stay cool on those hot days.

I used this controller in wooden box that contained some heat generating equipment. I wanted the fan to only operate when the temperature got to a point where it might become a fire hazard. This controller performs perfectly for this application and although I only have one exhaust fan in this box, it would also control other fans should it be necessary. Everything is provided except your fan(s) and a power source.

It seemed to work fine with a Noctua NF-A12 but it could not start a ippc 3000 fan. With the beeper enabled for fan1 it just sits there beeping unable to start the fan. For average PC fans it should be fine but nothing high-powered.

The instructions are not clear by themselves. For example, the tempreature-based speed only applies to the FAN 1 header. I used this to control a replacement fan on a graphics card and it works very well.

Great little PWM controller. No manual unfortunately but YouTube is your friend. Found an excellent video explaining all functions. Love it and bought a second one for another project.

Loved the thermal sensor, ended up cutting the wires and making it longer, but it worked beautifully
