I really like it
I'm writing this just because I think at this price there is no better fan on amazon I bought some others on prime day that were smaller and another popular brand which I don't like and this has them beat. First I think this fan looks really good especially in white and white has the best price. Second it is silent as can be I have never heard a silent fan be totally silent the hum is so low you have to be in a totally silent room to hear it and part of why I bought this fan was to have a silent office and this is. Third wind is good for me, its equal to what I had before from another popular brand that is still sold now. I live in florida and its hot here my office gets hot so even with a fan I'm still hot. I have it in a 8x10 room and I think this size is a must in hot places why pay same price for a smaller fan. Fourth and to me a big plus lots of fans now come with led light plates that you will have to order from the manufacturer to replace I was so glad this took bulbs because smart lights look so cool and I needed a bulb fan. Also the picture about the mount not flush with the ceiling that person must of did something wrong because it's perfect on mine I don't even know how that could happen if you install it correctly. The only knocks I would give on this to prevent 5 stars the remote sometimes doesn't respond on first press that could be me not leaving the sensor out. Also I originally tried to the fan without the downrod to be closer to the ceiling the instructions are not super clear on how to do it but you will figure it out just take your time I didn't. But either way if you in a hot place don't do it might look cool but will create less wind not worth it.

Quiet and easy to install
We are very pleased with this fan. It is very quiet and installed easily, with a 36 inch down rod in our case. The fan easily mixes the air in a 18x18 foot room, in our case with a 12 foot ceiling. Here are a few details I didnโt see in other reviews: Noise: the fan makes a slight hum when operating, maybe 120 Hz. Measured with my Apple Watch, it did not exceed 43dB at 36 inches from the fan body at any of the 3 speeds. The white noise from moving air is significantly louder than the hum. Balance and vibration: the fan as installed did not require any manual balancing. There was no visible or audible vibration and no perceptible rattle. Color: the fan and blades match Ultra White, a pure white shade typically used for trim. The color is a bit brighter than ceiling paint, which is usually a pale gray. The down rod we bought did not exactly match the fan, but was close enough that I didnโt mind. Down rod: the instructions did not address switching to a longer down rod, but it was straightforward to change. The supplied wire was long enough for a 48 inch down rod without splicing in extensions. The down rod is standard 3/4 inch inside diameter. Remote: when using the supplied remote, the fan is not compatible with wall box fan controls, and has a warning that using such a control will damage the fan. The internal wiring is less than 14 gauge, so technically should not be wired directly to a typical 15A circuit without using the supplied remote box. The remote control receiver has a black antenna wire that is very visible against the white down rod if exposed. If the antenna wire is hidden inside the metal hangar cover, it probably limits the range of the remote by blocking the signal. Light: with the supplied remote, holding down the light button will vary between about 50% and 100% brightness. It does not get very dim. The supplied bulbs are 2 cold white appliance size 60W equivalent, with only the top of the bulb providing light. This leaves shadows on the glass diffuser. If you donโt like it, you can easily change them.

Would recommend with a couple caveats
Overall, it's what we wanted - something that basically blends in and doesn't have strings hanging down. It was pretty easy to install but we couldn't figure out how to install without the down rod, which was our original intention. However as you can see the down rod is very short and actually looks quite nice! The bulbs that come with the fan are very cool/blue - definitely not my preference. They also seemed dim, and I wasn't able to dim/brighten them with the remote. We replaced with warmer bulbs and it made a world of a difference! I don't love the remote. It's a little finicky but so far it has worked fine. A couple of the buttons are pointless - why would anyone want random fan speed / random light on/off? You do have to be close to the fan and pointing directly at it for it to work. Sound-wise, it's not 100% silent but I'd say it's very quiet. You can hear the motor if you're listening for it.

Nice ceiling fan
The ceiling fan over my bed died, so I needed a new one. I purchased a nice brushed nickel fan, but it was a flush mount model, and it didn't push enough air down. I decided to put that fan in our dining room and looked for a pedestal fan. I saw this one, and the price was reasonable. I ordered it on a Saturday with the understanding that it would arrive on Tuesday, but informed on Monday afternoon that it wouldn't be here until the following Saturday. Alas, it arrived on Friday. My 21 year old son works as an electrician, and he said installing this fan was a piece of cake (he took down the first replacement fan, installed this one, and then took down the old fan in the dining room and replaced it, too. All in about 1 hour). This fan: It is really, really quiet. It has a subdued, utilitarian look, and it pushes a lot of air. The remote is easy to use. Neat feature: I didn't know that it had a "home protection" feature when I bought it. When you activate it, it will randomly turn the light on for anywhere from 5 minutes to 60 minutes at random times throughout the day while you are away at work or vacation. It has a light delay feature that will turn the light off after one minute, giving you time to leave the room. It has a breeze feature, where it will randomly increase and decrease fan speed to simulate wind (probably not something I'll use). All in all, this is a great fan.

Very nice fan, but needs a finishing ring to complete the look
52" Ashby Ceiling fan Model 80094. Fit and paint finish of blades and fan body is excellent. I've installed ceiling fans before so this was an easy install. Comes with a blade balance kit. I didn't need it - it balanced PERFECTLY. Light lens is made of GLASS. No cheap plastic to yellow as it ages. This fan really NEEDS a FINISH RING around the base of the fan (a ring that obscures the gap between the ceiling and where the fan is mounted to the ceiling). I hope the manufacturer sells one as an option, because I could really use it. It is a nice touch that really makes the fan look classy, and would vastly enhance the look of this very good looking fan. The ceiling electrical box in my new home was incorrectly installed by the builder at a tilted angle with some of it not flush and protruding slightly into the room (see images). This offset makes a flush mount impossible as the fan would sit at an angle on the ceiling. The down-rod install takes care of fan being plumb, but as shown in the image the ceiling cover is crooked, and shims won't work. This is where a finishing cover would help. It would also hid the unpainted set screws for the cover. See the image of another fan that compares that same fan with and without a finishing ring. Big difference huh! Note that this is not a bash on the manufacturer, ANY ceiling fan brand would have this problem with my improperly installed, crooked electrical box. My installation has separate wall switches for the light and fan. I wired the light switch directly to the light circuit of the fan bypassing the receiver. I do not need the light delay features of the remote, so I wired directly. You could bypass the receiver as well, but then the fan would only operate at high speed. I need only the medium speed, so the receiver was wired in and I use the remote to select the speed. Fortunately, the receiver RETAINS the LAST STATE when the power is turned off. So if you have the fan on medium and the light on, and you turn off the main power, the receiver remembers that the fan was on medium and the light was on when you restore power. That is a good thing if you are not wanting to use the remote all the time or at all. I've used this to replace a nice old Hampton Bay fan. That fan's slow speed is this fan's medium. I think medium is the best compromise between noise and air flow on this fan. The Hampton Bay's high speed was too high, it was like a hurricane. Nothing like that for this fan. It can move some air on high, but it is noisy. Slow speed is barely moving air, but quiet. The provided 23A 12 volt battery for the remote was dead. Fortunately, I had a spare. The remote is a bit flimsy, and the button designations do not stand out well. When the LED light bulbs are on, you can see a shadow of them in the lens. An LED module would make the light output consistent throughout the fixture. Overall, I would recommend this fan. I need 2 more, but the finish ring is needed for my installation, and all 3 fans would have to have them to make them look consistent in my home. TECH: Fan wires are about 36 inches long, plenty for most installations. The receiver RETAINS the last state when the power is turned off. Light and motor circuit are separate, and wired externally to the receiver. The receiver fits in the ceiling mount. The fan motor is one speed that is regulated by a circuit in the receiver. So you will not find the traditional speed selector on the body of the motor. LED screw-in bulbs (there are 2) are A15 size (slightly smaller than the standard home size A19). 3000K color temp and rated at 800 lumens.

Nice Fan with Good Remote
I had an older fan that I liked the color and blade shape but the remote function failed. I could not find a replacement that would work with my old unit and the two different florescent lights and multi speed motor. After some shopping I found this one in a similar style as my old fan. Installation was easy and straight forward but as with any ceiling fan you will have to be able to handle the weight of the fan motor from a ladder. The process was fairly easy and I mounted the down rod then the fan motor went on the rod with a quick insertion of a pin. From there you add the blades and the trim housing. The remote works well and the fan has 3 speeds plus a lamp on/off function. There is a switch on the fan housing for reversing the direction. For me it is not a big deal since I only change directions twice each year. The fan is quiet and makes very little noise on low speed. Medium and high have some noise but this fan is as quiet as any I have ever used. I am very pleased and would consider the same fan for any other spot in my house that needed a replacement. The price seemed like a good value for the quality. Recommended.

Great fan for my remodel.
I used this fan to replace an old fan in my kitchen as I am remodeling my kitchen. I initially bought this fan just before prime Day and then it went on sale for prime Day so I purchased it again. I really like it. It's quiet, I like that the light will dim with the remote. And I like that it's quiet and unobtrusive. The fan does have some neat features such as you can push one of the buttons on the remote and it will wait one minute and then turn off to allow you time to leave the room and not be in the dark. How cool is that? It also has an interim wave feature for the fan. Which I don't really use personally, but it's a neat little bonus. And finally it has an away mode. You can push the button on the remote to activate and it will randomly turn on and off the light and fan throughout the day. Making it appear that you are home. It runs for no more than 20 minutes it says. I have not needed to use it yet, but it is an added bonus for sure. I'm thinking of replacing my family room fan with this one as well. But I think I will wait for another sale. :-)

Great quiet fan
Update: the remote has not been working for a while now. Iโve given up. We tried everything. Since the remote is the only option to control it, I canโt turn anything off or on. Every once in a while if you hit it 50 times and are feeling lucky I can turn the light off. Then itโs a gamble if Iโll have to work in the dark the next day. Reading reviews it looks like Iโm not alone with my problem. Unfortunate, because I initially loved the fan. I replaced another fan in my office (small bedroom) and love this fan compared to the old one. It's super quiet and works great. I can feel the breeze to the point that sometimes I'm even cold. There's lots of options on the remote and I wish I didn't throw out the instructions because I'm not sure what exactly they all mean so I just hit a bunch of buttons until I get what I want and so far it's working out fine. The design is sleek and it looks great.

This fan looks great! I like the various lighting settings and the different levels of fan it offers. I found it cheaper at Home Depot than Amazon though so definitely take some time to price check
