Will this pump run the pop ups on low speed.** A: I had the Hayward Super II single speed and the in-floor cleaning system & it ran fine. I also have the Hayward EcoStar Variable speed and it wouldn't really run the pop-up heads at low speed (1650 RPM). You'd see bubbles coming out of the heads which never popped up. My pool is 13,330 gallons (slightly larger than yours). On high speed you'll have no problems but on low speed it's not a good solution unless you ran your pool on high speed for 4-6 hours, then switched to low speed for the last 2-4 hours. **Q: Do i have to run this pump 24 hrs/day? it will be right outside my bedroom window and i have only a 10k gal pool.** A: At low speed it should circulate 2400 gals per hour, that would only take 4.2 hours per day to turn over the water every 24 hours with 10k gal pool. The pump is very quiet at low speed. If you are on time of day electric, where costs is lower during off peak you will save the most money on electricity. I have a 24k pool and run mine at low speed for 10 hours per day and it cost me $7.00 (.10 per KWH) per month to run the pump and water looks great. **Q: Can the motor speed be togled while the pump is running?** A: Yes. I've had no problems doing that. While I usually keep it at the lower speed, the pool service will switch it to the high speed after servicing the filter in order for it to force the air out of the lines.
