Matouk's Hot Pepper Sauce, 26 Ounce

Been using this stuff for years. Very tasty, very hot. Can't find it locally, so I've been purchasing it through Amazon of years now. It always comes very well wrapped--no fear of breakage!

We had the opportunity to try this while visiting Anguilla and had to get another bottle when I got home to the US. Found it here and ordered it. 2 surprises: 1- the bottle is alot bigger then what I had in Anguilla (I didn't see the "26oz" in the description; I don't think I can ever use this much hot sauce); 2 - it seemed a good bit hotter than what we had on the island. Not sure if it was a different batch or what, but its pretty darn hot. Nevertheless, great flavor!!!

This sauce's taste profile is in the same vicinity as Tobasco but it tastes amazing and way better! Be warned, it's pretty hot. Gives an amazing kick. A thick tangy hot sauce.

One of the best that I have tried and the price is right. If you like it hot but not too hot this might be for you. (It does have a nice kick) It also has a nice flavor that does not overwhelm the food it is used with. Will definitely keep it on the table

Other than the lid was popped upon arrive dueto freezing temps. The sauce is as expected. Seems a nut weak this year.

There are many commercial hot sauces that claim to be Trinidadian or Trinidad-style. This is about the right blance of authenticity, heat and flavor. Yes, you can get hotter hot sauces, including the scorpion pepper sauce also from Matouks, but heat isn't everything. I cannot really pick an all time favorite, but this is up there with Baron's (from St Lucia) and Chiefs Tamarind (also from Trinidad). This 26 ounce 'growler' will last much longer than your standard 5-7 oz bottles.

A very small amount of Matouk's Pepper Hot Sauce will spice up soups, hotdogs, other sauces, rice dishes, burgers and much more, while adding a delicious flavor.
