Like magic, it stopped leaking.
GREAT PRODUCT - I had a small leak in my hot tub, somewhere. I had wetness on the ground at the low corner. I looked for days and couldn't find it. A call to the dealer was a three week wait and the minimum charge was $500 (no kidding). I took a chance on this and followed the directions. I removed the filters and put it in at 9AM. Ran the jets every two hours for five minutes and by 1:00 PM NO LEAK! I continued the jets for 24-hrs and then let it sit. I've not seen a drop of water on the ground since. I also put a piece of tape at the water line and, yup, the waterline stayed the same. Bottom line, for $35 you'd be stupid not to try this before calling in the pros.

Actually does what it claims to do
I've used this product at two properties to stop hot tub or pool system leaks. In both cases it was successful. My rental property's hot tub had multiple leaks in completely inaccessible places, and it sealed them all. My main home's pool had leaks (fast drips) from a 28-year-old DE filter and from my pump housing and this product sealed them all. I would just stress that patience is required, and repeated brushing of horizontal surfaces throughout several days of running the pump to keep the product from settling on the bottom of the hot tub or pool and keep it circulating in the water. For the first 24 hours or more it will probably seem like nothing is happening and you will feel like it's a waste of time. But then around the 36 to 48 hour mark, the puddled water is suddenly gone with no sign of any leaks or drips - at least that's been my experience. I can't guarantee everyone will have the same results but this product has saved me considerable repair expense. Just make sure you remove any filter media while using it, and you may need to sacrifice your filter media unless you have a way to flush the system with clean water before replacing the media.

The Real Deal!
I followed directions to the T and...@#%*! THIS STUFF WORKS!! As a repair tech I'm well familiar with "stop leak" products used in many industries. Some work better than others and exact circumstances can make all hit or miss. I was actually pretty skeptical about the ability of a working solution (punintended) to fix my good ol' 4-person hot tub, the victim of a winter power failure that caused freezing in the water lines. That would be a fatal condition for most tubs, but NOT the hard-won "portable" tub that I vowed I would never try moving again in my lifetime. Not that there's all that much of that remaining, but all the more motivation to bring my beloved "Think Tub" back to life. So, after rebuilding the heater (too old and costly to replace) and replacing the pump, it was with INDESCRIBABLE sadness I discovered the tub was leaking water from points unknown at rate that would make it more suited as a planter. My indefatigable nature--exacerbated by $200 repairs already expended--led me to Fix-a-Leak. Reviews were surprisingly positive, but even if it wasn't snake oil I didn't have much confidence it would work for my potentially sieve-like tub. After some reflection I decided I could spring for another $22 before crying "uncle!" May well have turned out to be the best $22 I've ever spent! It took me 3 months to garner enough courage and emotional fortitude (oh, and time) to carry out the steps required to check the stuff out. Had I opened the bottle immediately I may have been encouraged enough to try sooner, when the weather was more conducive to the company's online "warm weather" instructions. No matter, they provide instructions for freezing weather as well and those are the ones I followed. Admittedly between those instructions and the actual liquid characteristics I was encouraged. It made sense. The solution is viscous enough, and obviously contains particulates, probably rubberized, that, when well-suspended in the tub water, could coagulate at the leak points and, eventually, HOPEFULLY build up to the point of flow stoppage. In my case, THOSE LITTLE BUGGERS DID JUST THAT! After a single treatment using the 1/3 bottle recommended for a hot tub, the leakage appeared to be completely stopped. The manufacturer mentions that without the drying-out period that is infeasible during cold weather I may need to re-apply come Spring. No worries. There are still 2 applications left in my bottle. Maybe I'll be motivated to update this review down the line. For now I have no compunction about giving this product my unreserved recommendation for pools and hot tubs. I'm a believer!

Would recommend for leaking hot tub
Four stars because we had to change flow switch after use. We had a significant leak and having hot tub company come out is SUPER expensive. Followed directions on Marlig website. Running jets without filter in caused leaf to lodge in flow switch but thankfully my bf knew how to replace. We were skeptical before purchasing but very happy it fixed the leak. Watching YouTube videos also helped to understand process. Took about a week to run thru system, drain, clean, replace switch & refill but worth to avoid service company.

Worked to stop leak in our hot tub, but be sure to TURN OFF pumps entirely, NOT just cycle Hi/low
This really works for spa leaks, but the instructions are NOT clear. I carefully read the on-line instructions for spa leaks at the fixaleak web site, and it says to cycle between high and low speed pumps. The instructions mention turning off the pump if you only have one speed, but in fact you have to cycle turning off the pumps no matter if you have 2 pump speeds. It literally says to cycle between High and Low pump speeds, so I did not turn OFF the pumps at all on the first day after adding the Fix-A-Leak. I was very disappointed at first when my leak didn't dry up after an entire day of cycling High to Low speeds. I gave up for the day and turned off the pumps overnight, ready to write a 1-star review, but in the morning, I discovered the leak had stopped! The instructions imply the leak should be fixed while the pumps are running, but this is clearly not the best way to ensure the product works. I hope Fix-A-Leak clarifies this on their web site! But at least now you know if you want to try the product.

Great product, follow instructions to the letter and allow for curing
Don’t quite know how this works but it’s awesome, we have a 10,000 gallon in-ground fiberglass pool. We were loosing about 3” of water per day, if not more, following a process of elimination I checked and renewed all the above ground pipework, fittings and filter, we have a new pump so we knew this was also leak free. Our pool is set in to a concrete pad so I wasn’t looking forward to breaking the surrounding area to search for a leak, so in a last effort to find a solution and after some research and found this, I have to admit I was skeptical about this actually working, I followed the instruction carefully to the letter, then with some patience to let the product settle and cure for a few days it has worked amazingly. We are on day 5 of hot weather with the pumps running only at night and the water level has not moved at all. Great product.

Slowed my leak
Was hopeful for this item to work so I didn’t have to cut out more pvc under my hot tub. After 2 doses, slowed my leak from a steady drip to a slow every few seconds drip. So it was an improvement, just not sealed.
