Mens Vargas Classic Leather Boat Shoe

Love these shoes, this is, I believe, my third pair. The last pair I ordered I wore for 25 months before they were done. By the way, what I do would not really qualify as 'average' wear. Though I have a couple of pairs of other footwear - boots for the motorcycle and atvs, 'dress' riding shoes, and a pair of some other more dress shoes for those occasions where I cannot wear these. I wear these shoes everyday, all day. I use them for work and play. I am a handyman, so I am on my hands and knees, this destroys the toes of the shoes. I help my father with projects at the local park system he volunteers with, I wear these out in the woods and actually hike in them. Last year I took my truck in for service, they did not have a loaner for me, so I wound up walking 8 miles home in these - no blisters or anything, We had a big rain storm the other day and I stepped in a puddle - that is when I realized that it was time to replace the shoes again. I have a funny footstep and tend to always wear out the left shoe under the big toe first - literally completely wear it out - see pictures, those are the exact same shoes, 2 year 1 month later and who knows how many hundred miles or more. If it were not for my funny footfall, I would say from the wear on my right shoe that I should have gotten at least another year out of them - so these should last a normal person for many years. They hold up well, and I will keep buying them - I think they are well worth the price. I generally leave them tied so I can slip them on and off quickly (tend to take my shoes off in customers homes when I can). The soles are grippy and non marking, certainly these are good for casual wear, I don't think you get more casual than changing a customers toilet seat. They clean up pretty easily, and I treat them with neatsfoot oil every so often to keep them water repellent and soft - makes them look good as well.

The best shoe ever! True to size and the wide width is excellent comfort. Not only are they a good supporting shoe they are easy to slip on and can be worn as casual or casual dress, very versatile.

I love the style and fit. Great for any outfit. Comfortable. The colour goes with almost any outfit.

Although the shoe really looks nice and also fits well and is strong quality but had to return twice since the inner sole apparently is not glued to the sole ,and every time I take them off it comes glued to my feet . I believe must be a manufacturer defect, had a similar shoe from a different brand for 12 years never happened . Sorry can not share a photo since I’ve returned them already

The product is good, their sizes run on the small side, returned the 9.5 W and asked for a 10 W, but got a 14 instead. in a beat up box.

My husband goes through these all the time and lives them . He wears them out within a year... wearing them because he says they are comfortable every day shoes. Go with everything he wears. Would keep buying. He has them in various colors.

I love the Docker's Vargas Oxfords. I find them very comfortable and they wear like iron. I had my last pair for at least 4 years. Wore them almost everyday. Simply replace the insoles, when they break down, with a set of dr. Scholl's gel insoles and you're good for another year. Delivery was super fast.

Die Schuhe waren in US-Größe 14M und meinen Füßen (Größe 48) viel zu groß. Sonst machten sie einen ordentlichen Eindruck.

Size indicated is smaller. Must adjust 0.5 from your usual shoe size. Generally the workmanship & materials were good.
