Narrow FOV, IR filter removable
The camera I received did have a narrow field of view as advertised. Many of these cameras have 120+ degree FOV but this one was exactly what I needed for my project. This camera includes an IR cut filter, but it's very easy to unscrew the lens and pry out the filter with small tweezers. Didn't even break the filter. Will likely be buying more of these.

Solid Replacement for ESP-Cam with Added Flexibility
This is a reasonable quality OV2460-compatible camera module that is a drop-in replacement for the inexpensive camera that comes with the ubiquitous ESP-Cam module.Note that, like most cameras of this lineage and form-factor, the focus is adjustable by rotating the threaded lens; however, the lens is fixed in place with a small dab of Loctite. Rotating the lens with a small amount of force will free it and enable focus.I was hoping this lens would substantially outperform the bundled lens that comes with the ESP-cam — however, it is basically fairly similar in quality. It works perfectly fine, but it is not going to be the central image sensor of your home-brew digital cinema rig.It is perfectly satisfactory for — as an example — putting together a DIY security camera with an ESP32. The primary advantage it has over the module often bundled with the ESP32-cam is the length of the ribbon cable, which is sufficiently long enough to enable more creativity in designing housing.Ultimately, this is a perfectly good replacement camera module for the ESP-Cam. While it doesn’t dramatically improve image quality over the default lens, it gets the job done. If you're working on a project like a DIY security camera and need a bit of extra flexibility (and extra ribbon length!), you'll be happy with this model.

Not really very good
As a tinker toy, it's a great buy, easy to plug in. The con is that resolution is pretty bad for all but the most specialized applications.

Average image quality
My son is designing an automatic feeder for his guinea pigs using an ESP32 board. He needed a camera to monitor the cage while we're away to determine if the feeder needs to release more food.We ordered this ESP32 camera from Taideacent to connect to a ESP32 board. The camera works well enough for his application although it doesn't produce the best quality image. Don't expect smart phone level quality.I would say the ribbon is medium length. It isn't super short, but it doesn't give you a lot to work with either.Overall, he's happy with it.
