I did not realize it is supposed to be attached only to a downspout that is straight down. Had wanted to put it on our drive way down spout that had a 90 degree bend in it. Also did not realize it needed 1 1/2 to 2 inches of room to wrap the rain drain around the downspout. Our down spout because of how it is attached to the house only had 1 inch of room and I could not get the rain drain attached. I was able to use it on another down spout and it fit fine.
