Excellent Product & Lightning-Fast Delivery!
I ordered the Spectracide Weed Stop for Lawns Plus Crabgrass Killer Concentrate along with the Chapin G390 Hose-End Sprayer, and I was amazed—they arrived within an hour! I paid the $4.99 expedited delivery fee, and it was absolutely worth it because I wanted to treat my lawn the same day. The Chapin sprayer was easy to fill and use with the concentrate, and everything worked exactly as expected. Being able to order both items and start spraying my lawn immediately was a huge convenience. If you're looking for a good weed control solution and don't want to wait days for delivery, I highly recommend both the products and the fast delivery option. It saved me a trip to the store and let me get the job done right away.

Use full strength if you want your weeds to actually DIE!

Bermuda lives, Crab Grass dies!
I’ve used this product several times this summer. It definitely works but can be tricky. 1. I recommend cutting your grass short. Wait a day to see the grab grass come up. This will help you when spotting it. 2. Water it prior to using this. Just don’t use immediately after let the grass dry slightly. Morning dew is great as you can see a change in the grass color. 3. I use a 2 gallon sprayer and use 2-3 orange cap fulls... Additionally once I add water I’ll add Dawn to help it stick... 4. Crab grass is annoying... Meaning it will come back and fight you... without using a pre-emergent... Don’t expect this to be a one and done fight. 5. Spray it early morning or early evening... Summers are hot and only working up to 85 degrees is not cool... literally. So to get around this you need to spray when it’s less than these temperatures and has time to work... 6. Don’t mow or water for at least 24-48 hours... 7. Do be over zealous when trying to kill large patches... crab grass is everywhere! The seeds can fly all over and spread easily especially loved wet and lots of rain... Again you may have to re-spray and even attack it multiple times. Trick is not letting it seed... I live near places that bail grass and I am pretty sure it’s got crab grass so this fight is never ending. I’ll be upgrading my sprayer to be even more liberal... As I’ve got a decent 8,000 sq ft area that is a war zone. Pros - It works, and shows up within 8 hours. Crab grass does die, but you have to be pretty consistent with it. Price point and effectiveness make it really the best product on the market to kill crab grass and not your grass (Bermuda specifically... Can’t speak for other types... Read label for grasses not to use it with.) Cons - Product “how to and amounts” are not helpful. I’d make this a 5 Star but because it’s not detailed clearly it’s 4 Stars..

Mixed results
Know your weeds first. Some are spring germinating weeds and fall germinating weeds. Some of the tougher to kill weeds are winter weeds that germinated in the fall and by the time you spray them in spring, they are resistant to the chemicals. Winter annuals should be sprayed in fall/winter to kill them. Spring annuals should be sprayed in early spring to kill them. Spraying most annual weeds after they have established in the lawn will have mixed results. Sometimes killing, sometimes halting further growth and sometimes no effect. The weed needs to be actively growing so it absorbs the chemicals through the leaves and sends it down to the roots, where it does the damage. If it hasn't rained in 3 weeks or it is 95 degrees they aren't growing and are dormant. Water the weeds (seems wrong but it's right) a day before spraying if it's been dry and spray in the early morning if it's too hot during the day. Otherwise spring and fall are the application times. For clover you have to spray it a couple times about 2 weeks apart which worked for me. Mixed results on other weeds but overall it is a cost effective solution if you keep on it. Spraying one time in the middle of summer isn't going to work. Spraying only in the spring isn't going to work. You need to spray spring and fall. The best protection against lawn weeds is a healthy thick lawn.
