I wasn't sure about this purchase, but I wanted a different option from difficult to use (child safety) lighter and was intrigued by the idea of a rechargeable lighter. I was very surprised at how simple this item is and how easy to use. Just slide a cover to reveal the power button (the charge indicator will light up as well). As long as you close the slider there are no worries of accidentally triggering the lighter when not in use. It has worked beautifully to light every candle I have tried so far. My only disappointment is that I wish it had a cover to put over the ignitor end to help keep it clean/debris free when not in use. Highly recommend!

Great for those hard to reach candle wicks. It doesn’t work well for actual campfire, unless you are lighting the end of a match for some reason, but it’s not meant for that. It’s a nice electric and rechargeable way to light your household candles. The electric screech it gives off may deter some people, but you shouldn’t have it on for more than a few seconds anyway. Totally manageable.

I have replaced all of my lighters with this one. A friend recommended it and I had to see for myself. It’s extremely easy to use and holds a charge for a very long time. It also has a very standard charger so I don’t have to worry about replacing it. I think it’s easier to use than a regular lighter. It even works with the fan on or with a breeze!

I light two or more candles on my shrine two or more times daily. I also light incense several times daily. I have tried many butane lighters for this and spent hundreds of dollars on butane lighters for this over the years. This electronic lighter seems promising. First, I have only had it a few weeks, so I cannot comment on its longevity or lack thereof. Here are my comments: Lighting the candles: The candles I use are votive candles in a glass container. To light a candle, the lighter must be carefully placed so that the wick is between the electrodes. For this reason, it is usually necessary to hold the candle. If you try to light the candle while it sits in position, without holding it, you may spend a lot of time positioning the lighter, and you may never get it into position. If you are not careful, you may break the wick before is softened by saturation with hot wax. Finally, if you are not careful, you may interrupt the arc before you are able to light the candle, in which case you will have to reactivate the arc. All of this will be quite a bit easier with candlesticks. Incense: Because of its thickness, Tibetan incense is difficult to light with this lighter. you have to hold the incense to the lighter for some time for it to ignite, and you may interrupt the arc several times before it ignites. I usually light incense from the candles anyway, so this is not a problem for me. It should be easier with the smaller diameter Japanese style incense. Charging: With my amount of use, it has to be charged every few days. This is not a problem for me. General: If it holds up, I will be pleased. But I still keep Butane lighters handy in case I run out of patience.

This spark generator does a nice job of controlling the electrical flow between the prongs. It does a nice job lighting the grill and the candles. There is always more than enough butane in the lighter tank; but after a year of use or if the wind is blowing... it just does not stay lit. Not to worry with this lighter. Recharge the battery if necessary. Always ready to do the job

Charge up with your phone plug! This unit doesn't take long to charge and has a pretty good battery life once fully charged, as shown by the lights remaining. Easy to light candles, as you just put the wick between the metal and click the button to send the electric charge out; goose neck makes it easy for distance and where the wick has burned down enough that you can't actually get to it with a normal lighter without turning it upside down or burning yourself. Had mine for about a year with moderate use, and it's still going strong. For the price, I can't say that I have any regrets on the buy; it's even better when the units are on sale!

Doesn't really light candles very well. Got it to light a scented candle with 3 wicks and whole a lighter lights em in no time at all, it's kinda hard to light with this. You have to get the wick inside the prongs which is harder than it should be. Good build quality but yea this doesn't really work as well as it should.

I was not aware of the product like this. I was looking for a refillable gas lighter because I do not like to throw away things. I found this lighter, looked at the reviews and decided to try it. It is nice design and color. Works well. Actually it would be better for people with arthritic hands. I do not know how long it will last but I have very light use. It lights my prayer lamps with cotton wicks in the morning and evening. It also lights incense. I have not tried to light the grill or gas stove. It came with a well written manual for instructions. The manual indicates about automatic safety function which it does not have. The safety switch is not automatic. You can slide it back and forth manually.

Stopped working after a month . Issue in switch . It became loose . Not worth . Don’t go for it .
