Please check with your municipality to see if they accept polystyrene (often referred to by the plastic identification # 6). Can you use these for soup?

I ordered these but I'm not sure I would use them for a hot soup. I looked at the Hefty.com website and the following is what it said....... 'Hefty Everyday white foam plates, bowls and trays are perfect for everyday meals and special occasions.
