Malfunctioned after SHORT USAGE
This device is fragile and poorly designed. I’ve used WD most of my life and wanted to try a different brand. Well, that didn’t go so well. Right after, (not exaggerating here) I transferred my life to this HD it fell 1 feet, onto a highly carpeted floor wheel it was in an insulated case. I plugged it back in and it started to beep - I had to send it into seagate for data recovery (thankfully I purchased)

It does the job
It's not super fast but neither is it slow. I am using it for back up data and other essential things for my laptop. It does what it says it will do with minimal fuss.
