I've been using this case for a year. Its the second one I have for the same phone, so its about one per year - I replaced the first one because the face became too scratched (I'm hard on my gear...).I recently dropped the phone while climbing, form about 25m up, onto solid rock. The case cracked diagonally across the face, and has a huge dent and some cracks on the corner where it impacted, but the phone is still as spotless as the day I bought it, so, I am ordering a new case of the same (3rd one).I also swim and go canyoning etc with the case, and it stays dry.The rotating silent mode switch works well, but take care when putting the phone in the case, it will often switch it to silent... so be sure to check if you don't wan't it in silent mode...The buttons are durable, and don't fail like on some of the other cases I have tried.There are however some disadvantages to this case:• The sound quality is less than ideal, so I generally use a bluetooth headset.• The touch screen does not work underwater (or when wet), so, taking pics is problematic, you can overcome this by using a self timer, or shooting video, and starting either while above water.•The image quality of the camera is slightly affected by the case, but not to the point where I remove it from the case, except in exceptional circumstances).• The face does become scratched eventually, and in general, it is harder to see things on the display in bright light.• I have to remove the phone from the case to use it with my drone, as the charging port is too small to accommodate all charging / data cables.• If you like to use a 3rd party Mag-safe style charging cable, it does not work with this case, as there is not enough space inside the door for the mag adapter.The bottom line is, if you are really hard on your gear, then this is probably the right case for you, and you'll put up with the disadvantages.

Alright..I never and I mean NEVER leave reviews. BUT I’m going to say this. I live in Minnesota, and one blizzard-like morning while hurriedly shoveling my driveway (already a tiny bit late for work), my phone fell out of my pocket and I unknowingly launched it into my yard with the snow. I didn’t notice until after I was done, had ran back into the house to get my work stuff, and came out to my vehicle and *GASP* my pockets are empty!!! I was four hours late to work that morning digging through the yard as the snow kept falling. I had told my Dad about it, the man went out and bought a metal detector and proceeded to spend several hours in the bitter cold scanning the entire yard for it. No luck. I bought a pitchfork to sift through the yard and had a Sheriff drive by no doubt concerned why a ski mask donning six foot woman was beating the hell out of the snow bank at 9 o’clock at night. No worries sir just looking for my phone. A week went by and I bit the bullet and bought a new phone. Thankfully my photos and things transferred over.FIVE MONTHS LATER. Our snow had begun melting. It rained,it snowed, it froze,it melted, repeatedly, and after a nice long warm spell what did we see sticking out of a melting snowbank? MY PHONE! In PERFECT condition, dry as a bone, and it charged up without issue. I firmly believe this case protected the hell out of my phone. Especially considering we had temps way below zero. The only mark on it was one single poke mark on the plastic screen protector, no doubt from my pitchfork, but it never actually pierced through. Buy this case. Trust me.

Excellent case!- I am so amazed with the quality and functionality of the Ounne case. It is slim and looks great! For those of you looking for a minimalistic solution to defend your phone against water damage and other elements, I recommend the Ounne case as a top contender.- I plan to use the case for underwater photography, so I tested the case in about 16 inches of water before use with my iPhone. Before submersion, I verified that the case was sealed completely by firmly applying pressure around each side. I left it submerged for a couple of hours with a folded dry paper towel inside. When I pulled the case out of the water and dried off the outside, I found no sign of moisture in the case, so I installed the case around my iPhone.I have been using the Ounne case exclusively for the past 4 days on my iPhone. Here are my findings:There is slight performance degradation with the speakers and microphone, but not noticeable to the average user - after all, you need to cover these openings to protect your device...one must expect there to be slight distortion. I was actually very nicely surprised in the clarity. I have had no issues with hearing phone calls and have had no complaints from the people I have spoken with on the phone while using the Ounne waterproof case.The screen protector is almost directly on top of the glass. I normally do not use a screen protector at all as I enjoy the smoothness of the original glass. I have found that the Ounne case’s screen protector does not interfere with the responsiveness of the touch screen. I have read complaints in other reviews regarding issues swiping up from the bottom to access the control center, but I have not found this to be a problem for me.The case is a little slick on the back so it will slide around on a smooth surface. Although, the front raised edge has just enough grip so it can be set face down and not slide. The sides have a bit of grip as well-enough so it is comfortable enough to hold as well as easy to slide in / out of a pocket easily. This was a major plus for me as my daughter’s life proof case is completely slick on all sides and is very easily dropped.I feel like I got the better value by far. She spent at least 4X more than I did and I like my case better!!!The ONE and ONLY thing I would change is the silence button/toggle wheel on the side-it is VERY difficult to turn. I have found this to be an issue with many of the silence button/toggle wheels out there. This is not an issue specifically with the Ounne case.

The phone case was simple enough to install. Didn’t come with any pry tool to take it back off, but I already have some from other cases. VERY small charging port - the cables I already have didn’t fit so I bought new ones with smaller housing in the connection area.. The case looks really cool and fits nice and tight.

GREAT DEAL! I bought the hype of brand named products that promise to protect your phone for a $100 case- this does the same thing for MUCH less! I bought this case specifically for a Christmas trip to the Caribbean because I wanted to take cool pics and video in the water. I followed the instructions precisely when I first received the case and it has protected my phone when I held it in the water (the bracelet they give to put on your wrist was great, strong, and made me feel much more secure about it not slipping out of my hand), when I took video, and I could play around in the water and swim (although a little cumbersome because I was still holding an iPhone 8+ in my hand). I have actually never had it slip out of my hand, although there is nothing special about the grip of the case. But I am more than sure I am protected should it fall. Though I still have insurance on my phone, I feel so safe having this case on! Though I listened to music before in the shower, now I can use it in the shower and place it anywhere and not have to worry about it being damaged. I will be purchasing this for my entire family before summer time comes back around so we can all enjoy our iPhones at the pool! (I did take pics and video underwater but I found these two first(I attached them)- my son splashed me in one photo and I was watching my kids splash around- and my phone was protected in the water, no worrying about it!)The case is not the prettiest and doesn't come in colors, but the clear back is cool since my phone is rose gold. The circular knob on the side is cool (turn it forward or backward and it adjusts your ringer switch), and the buttons all connect well with the phone's buttons. My only issue is sometimes the speaker is covered and hard to hear. Just position it where you are able to speak clearly and not holding the phone on your shoulder. But, for all the benefits of the case, I don't care, I just use my wireless headphones if I want to use the phone. I still wouldn't take a star away for it! I will definitely buy more Ounne products- whatever they sell!
