Do they scratch easily?

No! They're really sturdy. Had mine for a while now and no scratches, chips, cracks, or any damage. I regularly put them in the dishwasher and use them daily.

What's the difference between mikasa swirl and mikasa ciara? They look the same.

Ciara is a 4 piece place setting set and Swirl is a 6 piece place setting which includes a small fruit bowl and the smallest plate-a salad plate.

Love these dishes. Bought to replace my Mikasa Garden Harvest which I loved but which scratched badly from silverware. Have been using these everyday for a couple of months and no scratches. Lighter than the Mikasa stoneware, so another plus. And the white is so versatile. Pattern is same as Mikasa Swirl White bone china, which offers more accessory pieces. These dishes are perfect for me
