Works In Printers And With Pens And Pencils
I purchased the Amazon Basics Blank Index Cards, White, 3 inches x 5 inches, 1000 Count package, expecting that I would need at least that many cards to experiment with, to get my printer to work with them. I thought there would be a lot of printings that would go bad and would have to be thrown away, but the very first card I printed on came out fine. I used a Brother MFCL2750DW Laser Printer, in which the cards are not placed in the paper tray, but are instead placed in a small adjustable tray that is accessed through a small door at the front of the printer, just above the paper tray. After printing the first card, I could not find the card in the printer, even after removing the drum and the cartridge, but I finally located the card far back in the slot that regular size printed sheets of paper come out through, and by reaching my fingers into the slot, I was able to pull it out. I can now print promotional materials, flashcards to use in practicing for tests, and to-do-lists and information I need to reference frequently, and then trim the 3 x 5 cards down to wallet size, or simply fold them in half, which allows them to fit into the card slots in my wallet. The cards have a matte or flat finish, meaning that they can be written on with ink pens, pencils, wax crayons, colored pencils, felt-tip markers, water-color paint, and other types of markings, as well as used for printing with laser and inkjet printers that are designed to accept 3 x 5 cards. The price is less than similar cards, and the quality is clean and uniform in appearance, with a white color that is the same as regular white paper. The cards are plastic-wrapped in bundles of 100, with 10 bundles in total. I would recommend these cards to others, and I anticipate buying more of the cards.

Good quality and price.
I bought these to make flash cards for my kids and they're just what I needed and expected. This package contained more than I needed but it was a good value for the number of cards included and I know we'll eventually use them all. I think the card stock might be a little less thick than others I've purchased in the past, but I have no complaints and they'll work out fine. I bought the ruled cards and the lines are clearly printed.

I LIKED THE PRODUC
Great quality index cards for everyday use. The paper is sturdy, smooth to write on, and doesnโt bleed through easily. I like the 4x6 size because it gives plenty of space for notes or flashcards. With 1000 cards included, itโs an excellent value. Simple, reliable, and exactly what I needed. Highly recommend!

Really useful
These are simple but really useful. The cards are good quality, not too thin, and easy to write on. Iโve been using them for studying and they work perfectly. Nothing fancy, just exactly what I needed

I Am Now the CEO of My Own Thoughts
This review is for the man who is done with tiny scraps of paper and "sticky notes" that lose their stick. These are 5x8 behemoths. They aren't just index cards; they are the billboards of the stationary world. โญโญโญโญโญ "I Am Now the CEO of My Own Thoughts" I used to try to organize my life on those puny 3x5 cards. What was I thinking? Thatโs not enough space for a vision as grand as mine. I needed real estate. I needed the Amazon Basics 5x8 Ruled Index Cards. These aren't just cards; they are paper-based acreage. Why These Cards Are the Final Boss of Productivity: The Massive Canvas: 5x8 is a statement. It says, "I have a lot to say, and I need a sturdy card to say it on." I can fit a grocery list, a 5-year plan, and a rough sketch of a birdhouse all on one side. I feel like Iโm writing a treaty every time I take a note. The "Ruled" Discipline: The lines are crisp. They provide the structure I so desperately lack in my actual life. They keep my handwriting from drifting into a chaotic, downward spiral. Itโs like a guardrail for my brain. 500 Count (The Century Pack): Five packs of 100. I have 500 opportunities to be a genius. Iโve started using them for everything: bookmarks, recipe cards, coasters, andโbrieflyโas a very stiff fan during a heatwave. The "Amazon Basics" Reliability: They are white. They are ruled. They are cards. No frills, no distractions, just pure, unadulterated potential. They have the "thwack" of high-quality cardstock when you flick them. The Life Impact My desk used to be a graveyard of forgotten Post-its. Now, it is an organized command center. I have my Zeiss Wipes to keep my glasses clear, my Meiqils Garage Light overhead, and these 5x8 cards to plot my world domination. I am unstoppable. Pros: Enough space to write a short novel. Sturdy enough to survive being tossed into a gym bag with my Old Spice Hydro Wash. Cons: They are so large that people think Iโm carrying around a stack of very small, very organized tablets. My 3x5-using friends are clearly intimidated.

120gsm stock, with rough surface. 6.3mm rule. ok for short term use.
I measured the weight of this index card, and it was about 122gsm. 500 pieces stacked up to 9.5cm, which is thicker than expected for a card stock of 122gsm. So, this card is less "dense" or thicker for the weight. This is still _considerably_ lighter and flimsier than Oxford cards. I plan to use these cards for mostly short-term information management and take the information in a computer for finishing up, so this is still adequate for me, but if you are using cards for repeated uses over the long term, you might want to go for better quality options. The rule width is 6.3mm (measured). Two minor negatives. (1) The cards came in warped. Curly. I would have to bend backwards to straighten before writing, which is very annoying. I'll have to see if this goes away over time. (2) The surface is rougher than other index cards I have, including some no name brands, though this feels thicker for about the same weight. The downside is that, if you use a fountain pen with EF nib and dry feed, line may be skipping all the time. That is frustrating. Use medium or wet feed and the line will be ok. There is minimal feathering [1] and bleeding on this paper with all the pens and inks I tested with. It is also dip pen friendly. I can write Spencerian with a flex nib like Hunt 101, Hunt 22 or Brause 66EF (Arrorw) without any bleeding to the back or excessive feathering, but Gillot 170 may be a better match for this rough paper on narrow rule. Iron gall ink feathers a bit more than some of the well-behaved sumi ink. Gel pens (even 0.28 or 0.38mm) write well. Mechanical pencils and plastic erasers work well. [1] the ink does spread out from the line along the coarse fiber texture... as you expect from rough surface texture and cheap paper. But it is tolerable for what it is.

Bang for your buck!
This is my second time purchasing these flashcards in bulk, and I would absolutely recommend them โ especially for students. People always underestimate how many flashcards theyโll actually need, and running out in the middle of studying is the worst. Buying them in bulk is so much more cost-effective and saves you from those last-minute panic trips to the store. My first pack lasted me about a year and a half with heavy use, so Iโm hoping this new set will get me through the rest of school. One thing worth mentioning is that these cards are blank on both sides and do not have lines. The first time I ordered them, I didnโt realize that and was a little unsure about it at first. But honestly, now I really appreciate it because it gives me way more flexibility for diagrams, charts, drawings, and organizing information however I want. Overall, these are sturdy, practical, and a great value if you go through a lot of flashcards like I do.
