Elixir Vital, 1.01 Ounce

One of my favorite products of all time. I have used for years. The scent is so refreshing and great in the morning when u wake up!!

Shake shake shake the bottle before using. This is an oil and water bi phasic exlixir/serum that needs to be well mixed. Use alone, or follow with a cream. It isnt oily at all. It absorbs well. This product used to be called Vital Serum before being changed to Vital Elixir. It is a little thicker, but still liquid like a toner, but it is not a toner. Use after a toner. Use it like you would a serum: after toner, before cream (or in place of a cream). Smell is ok. You must be ok with loads of essential oils. If sensitive to that, then you likely wont want this on your face. I am normally fine with such ingredients, but after application I was concerned that I should have done a patch test first. Fortunately my experience has been fine. I have been using it at night with no cream on top (because the directions on the insert stay to use alone, but their website says to use alone OR with a cream), but going forward I will use a cream, because it feels seriously lacking on my dry skin alone. Wish the information between here, their info in the box, and their website lined up better. I am not in love with this, but it is early on in my use. SO far it is.. OK. I dont think it will be a repurchase. My skin can't survive the winter without this. I go through periods of swimming three to four times a week and this is absolutely necessary, whatever season I'm in.

This feels really nice on my skin. I use it under face cream in the very dry weather and at night. It is quite light feeling and not greasy or oily at all (even though it is composed of oil). It has quite a unique feel to it. I thought it would feel oily, but it doesn’t. It feel moisturizing, but it is more of a water-like elixir. You will need to shake the bottle before using. I am glad they didn’t use an emulsifier in their product. An emulsifier is not really all that good for your skin, but it keep the water and oil mixed. I would much rather just shake the bottle like this bottle requires. This product is made in France. I think it is worth the money for the quality of the ingredients and the unique composition. It feels very luxurious and wonderful on my skin! The base ingredients in this product are corn oil, soy protein, sunflower oil, and silicon. I’m not thrilled with those ingredients I would have rather had a high-quality oil like sweet almond oil or sea buckthorn oil. Still, I love this for the wonderful herbs and the scent is out of this world wonderful. The scent is primarily thyme, lavender, and rosemary with wonderful undertones of cypress, lemon, and citronella. I find the scent quite strong, but it is very natural and I enjoy it very much. There are not artificial perfumes which is great!
