Buffalo Games Puzzle Saver, 6 Sheets & 2 Hangers, Puzzle Preservation Kit

I had never wanted to frame a puzzle box until my daughter got me this one that was a puzzle of my dog. She had it specially made for me so I figured it would be a neat thing to frame and hang in the house. At first I thought I was going to have to use some kind of glue. But then when I saw this sticky paper I thought it would be perfect. In fact it turned out to be extremely perfect and just what I was looking for. The paper comes and sheets that can be cut to size or they can be overlapped for a larger puzzle. The pieces are easy enough to work with in the size that they come in, but there's also lines on the back for cutting to smaller sizes. My puzzle was 11 x 14", so I lucked out in that it would fit in a standard frame. I ended up using two pieces of the sticky stuff on the back so I have extra to use for future projects. One thing that I was curious about when I was deciding whether to buy this or not was how thick the paper was. The paper is about the thickness of a greeting card. So it has some stiffness to it and it's not just like a sheet of contact paper. I was really hoping that it would be like this so that it wouldn't be so flimsy in the frame. It was really perfect and that it added a little bit of stability to the puzzle without adding a lot of thickness. The instructions suggested that you cut the paper to size before sticking it on but I figured it would be easier to just trim a little excess off the edges rather than trying to stick something exactly to the edge. That worked out fine for me. I overlapped probably about a quarter of an inch on each side and when I turned it over it was real easy to trim the excess off with a scissors without damaging the puzzle. One other thing that I was concerned about was how to flip the puzzle over. There were some suggestions for that which I used and I ended up taking a stiff piece of smooth cardboard and sliding it off the table and right onto that cardboard. Then I took another piece of cardboard and put it on top. Then it was easy to flip the whole thing over. It might be harder if you had a larger puzzle, but it worked fine with the size I had. I thought this was a great product at a great price and it also came with some little hooks that you could stick on the back if you wanted to just hang up your puzzle without any frame. That's kind of nice although I have to say I wouldn't recommend it because I think the puzzle needs a little more stability then just the sticky backing. If you were really going to mount it directly with no frame, I would suggest having a dry mounted onto foam core board. Highly recommend, great value, will use again. I made my first puzzle this year. It was a 300 piece, Birds of Paradise puzzle. Luckily, I found this because it worked perfectly The instructions were large print and super easy to follow. The dimensions fit exactly the ones I ordered and it worked really well. It took less than an hour altogether with the puzzle saver and framing. Its plastic like material so its light weight and clear which tapes onto the back of the puzzle. It worked great I may have had to overlap some of the sheets to make it fit. It was fine though. I did not use all the sheets either for the puzzle size I had. Cons: The hardest part is getting the puzzle to flip so you can apply the peel. Its best to keep that in mind when doing your puzzle if you want to save it. Do the puzzle on a piece of cardboard then sandwich the puzzle with another piece of cardboard to solve this problem.

Bought this for my 12-year-old daughter for a 500 piece puzzle we built. Like a dream come true, you can have a perfectly preserved puzzle within a couple minutes, no worries that all the hard work you put into the puzzle can be undone. Her's was a 3D Visual Echo puzzle with hot air balloons, I hated to have her put glue anywhere around the textured surface because even it a little got on it the beautiful effect would be spoiled. She was able to simply peel and stick 3 pieces of this (half the package) to the back of her puzzle and now can frame it to hang on her wall. Still stunned at how quick and easy it was and ZERO mess, As a mom the no mess was my favorite part!!! Definitely worth buying should work for any puzzle. If it didn't fit your puzzle it would be easy to cut some off or add more. I plan to buy more for the 1000 piece puzzle my 15-year-old is building. I don't want any glue on her surfaces since she needs her colored pencils to work on them. Believe me, this kit beats glue any day!! The puzzle saver itself is very easy to use once you succeed in flipping the assembled puzzle over. In my case, this required 2 silicone chopping boards (one to transfer the puzzle onto and the other to keep it from moving while performing the flip). Once I had the puzzle facing down, using the "Peel & Stick Puzzle Saver" was as intuitive and effortless as peeling and applying a label. The glue was highly adhesive and I had absolutely no sense that pieces of the puzzle would detach if handled roughly. I was concerned about this because this was a class project for my 7 year son and I knew that it would have to endure being taken to school, being shown to the class, being passed around the class and --if it survived all this-- be put on display. The puzzle not only survived 21 7-year olds "looking" at it (some attempted bending was involved in this looking) but it looks just as good now as when my son first took it to school. It is on display and it looks striking. I like that there is no glue painted over it (I have had other parents ask about how we made it stick) --so I give it props for being effortlessly ingenious, effective, possibly indestructible and easy to customize to suit your unique puzzle dimensions. It also gets props for the instant gratification of not having to wait for hours for it to dry. I subtracted one star because the adhesive had a slight smell that lingered in the room for a while. It smelled "archival" (like the smell of envelopes you have to lick to seal). I wasn't bothered by it (and it did not stick with the finished product) but some may be.

Love this product!! I’ve used it on three of my puzzles ranging in size from 10x15 up to 24x30. Very easy to use and no mess!

I strongly recommend these peel and stick for jigsaw puzzles. They make preserving a puzzle very easy without any mess and well worth the price. Where I needed to cut the strips to fit, I staggered the folds so there wouldn't be one long fold across the whole puzzle. After waiting overnight, which is longer than necessary, I was able to easily pick up the entire puzzle and transferred it to a frame. The kit came with two peel and stick hangers but I prefer to frame them to protect the photo.

Great concept, fairly easy to apply. Unfortunately the adhesive is poor. I do not recommend lifting it up and hanging it with the supplied hooks. Only use this as an aid to put the puzzle in a frame a little easier. Pieces will start falling off as soon as you lift it otherwise.

Highly recommended if you are a puzzle lover

What a great idea. Previously, I was using glue and bristol board. It is much easier with this product, and the end result is much better - puzzle sticks so easily and can easily be handled for framing. Highly recommended.

Utilicé el producto para un rompecabezas de 500 piezas. Fue muy buena opción utilizarlo en lugar del pegamento líquido porque es mucho más fácil y práctico. Además de que le da resistencia. Me gustó que el paquete incluye un par de ganchos de plástico por si decides colgarlo sin mandar a ponerle un marco de cuadro. Sin duda lo volveré a comprar.
