They are light weight, strong, and so far none have chipped or broken. We're seniors and appreciate their versatility and light weight. We use them in the microwave oven for reheating foods, and the very hottest sanitary setting on the dishwasher, but they warn the consumer to not use them on the stove top burners nor under the broiler.
