I pump 2-3 times at work so am only storing 3 full bags of breastmilk. I put 2 extra ice packs in the empty slots (in addition to the 2 given) and it keeps my milk ice cold for over 12 hours. Yes, one of the included ice packs tore but I just bought a replacement ice pack that fit in the same slot (bought it on Amazon).
