Typically, when this happens it is because the alcohol pad included is unable to breakdown the waxy protective coating on the dash. This can be accomplished by using a gentle degreaser like Simple Green. You would want to apply a bit of the degreaser to a towel and then work it into the spot where you want the Steelie Dash Mount to go. Wipe it dry and then adhere the dash mount to the car. Keep in mind the footprint of the mount is small, so be judicious with the degreaser. I would also advise testing this in an inconspicuous location as to ensure no discoloration occurs. We’d be happy to send you replacement adhesives under our warranty. Please call our Customer Service Team at 1-800-678-6483, M-F 8 AM – 5 PM MST. **Q: Does this use the standard phone magnet or is it the larger size tablet magnet?** A: It is the standard phone size. **Q: Does this work for iphone 13 promax** A: It should fit the iPhone 13 Promax, as that is 3.03 inches wide (without case) and the width of the Steelie clamp goes to 3.96 inches wide. So depending on how large of a case you have (if applicable) it should still fit. **Q: Can this hold S21 ultra with S Pen case?** A: Try it out if it works fine If not returns are free with Prime; most of the time ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Quality build. Strong magnets. *by T***Y on June 27, 2026* Quality build. Strong magnets. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great ! Easily to use *by W***I on August 22, 2026* Works very well in tractor trailers. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Compatible with Fastball mounts *by N***9 on May 25, 2025* I bought this to be able to replace my Fastball mounts on my phone since I updated them and can't find the part that goes on the back of the phone. It fits perfectly on the Fastball "ball" mount without slipping and securely holds my new phone. Without consequences of being dropped. My only dislike is that it can't magnetic charge as their is wireless charging on my phone. So I still have to plug it into a USB-C with wires hanging out. ## Frequently Bought Together - Nite Ize Steelie Squeeze Clamp - Magnetic Cell Phone Holder for Dashboards, Vents & Windshields - Versatile & Adjustable Phone Mount - Compatible with Apple MagSafe iPhones and Accessories - Nite Ize Steelie Dash Mount - Additional Car Mount Dash Ball for Steelie Magnetic Phone Mounting System - Cell Phone Accessories for Dashboard Mount Set --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.com.pa/products/282545326-steelie-squeeze-clamp-universal-dashboard-mount-for-hands-free-use](https://www.desertcart.com.pa/products/282545326-steelie-squeeze-clamp-universal-dashboard-mount-for-hands-free-use) --- *Product available on Desertcart Panama* *Store origin: PA* *Last updated: 2026-10-18*
