Hook it to a battery first if it doesn’t light then reverse the wires. Which ever one is on the negative post is the ground. Also aluminum siding does not make a good ground. **Q: Does the flasher relay have to be replaced? i have a 1992 fleetwood flair rv. anyone know a source and part #?** A: I used these to replace the marker lights on both the canopy of my '97 F250 and my '16 Forrest river travel trailer, and did not have to change any other components for them to function. However none of mine are being used for turn signals. One thing I did note, is that the red wire was not always the hot lead on these, I had to actually touch the leads to my existing vehicle wires to determine proper connection, as the are polarity-specific. Overall I am pleased with the outcome, these are much brighter that the old, incandescent lights. **Q: Is the lens also a reflector?** A: No, it is a clearance light.
