Worth the money!
I love this product. I use this because I work in a BSL-2 lab. So I work with a lot of pathogens. I have to use my phone so when I come home I throw my phone in and so far it’s kept my phone completely clean. It definitely works. I’m incredibly impressed.

Quick to sanitize
Very easy, quick, and reliable for sanitizing my phone after being in public spaces or having my phone on random surfaces. Really like this!

Your phone is germy! The research looks like it works.
This is my second PhoneSoap. I'm a scientist, but I don't have access to a microbiology lab, so I looked at research reports. PhoneSoap paid for most of the testing I found, but the protocols looked reasonable and I didn't see any red flags. An independent site (Dr. Annie's Experiments) did micro testing and found PhoneSoap effective. For best results, take your phone out of the case and wipe down the phone before you put it in PhoneSoap. I use a clean lens cloth dampened with a mixture of 50:50 alcohol/tap water. Put your case in PhoneSoap too (unless it's clear plastic, as UV causes yellowing). Wipe down the case first with alcohol or the alcohol/water mix, unless it's leather or something delicate. Pay particular attention to the edge where the case meets the screen, as a lot of bacteria build up there! I use PhoneSoap for keys, sonic toothbrush heads, and cosmetic tools (tweezers, nail files, etc). If it goes on my skin and it fits in PhoneSoap, it gets treated. How long does PhoneSoap last? The manufacturer says 6000 hours of use. One cycle is 10 min, so that works out to 36,000 cycles. Mine lasted for 6 years with up to 10 uses per week, which is 31,200 cycles, so PhoneSoap's estimate appears accurate. The UV bulbs can't be changed, which I suspect is due to safety as UV-C is harmful to skin and PhoneSoap shuts off if opened. The new basic model uses USB-A instead of a standard wall plug. The power cord is very sturdy. Overall, if you want a clean phone, I highly recommend this device.

Pretty Effective!
Contamination OCD can be a b****, but sometimes it leads to good purchases. So, a million years ago I took a microbiology course. We had to swab items and see what they grew in Petri dishes. I swabbed a cell phone and a toilet seat. The cell phone came back WAY worse. I have ruined a few phones using Purell so I decided to buy a UV phone sanitizer on Amazon. I was curious if it actually worked so I decided to test it. Turns out, it works pretty darn well. The before and after are from the same day. It requires water on the swab so I decided to test it after on a different day as well in case some of the schmutz (that’s the scientific term, I promise) got wiped off before putting it in the sanitizer. All-in-all, I’m pretty happy with this purchase 🙂 Fun fact: every single touch screen kiosk at McDonald’s that was tested in the UK tested positive for fecal bacteria 🤗 Please ignore the cat footprints and hair on my glass table, they use it more than I do 😂

Excellent Phone Cleaner and Sanitizer
Very easy to use. Takes about 10 mins under the UV lamp/case and your phone is cleared and ready to go. Much better than trying to clean with antibacterial wipes.

Be careful with iPhone 16
This may damage the camera on the iPhone 16. Use it on other items. I started using this with my iPhone 16, but later had some glare when taking photos with the sun in the shot. I did not have this before. Otherwise, the camera works exactly the same. So I just stopped taking photos like that. Bummer. I use it for my keys and other things now, after I touch things earlier in the day on high contact surfaces. Think handles on the train, bus, etc. or just doors of a busy office building. UV light may affect different kinds of plastics and leather, so just be cautious. Otherwise, this works great. I will use 70% isopropyl alcohol for disinfecting my phone moving forward only. This is what Apple recommends anyways

Hoping for the best :)
I mean, how do I actually know it's legit sanitizing it and now just turning on a light bulb? I'd like to think I have a brand new spic and span squeaky clean phone every single time I use this. :)
