I have been sewing for 60+ years and this is the first time I have ever purchased a pattern where all the pieces were not included. I am making dress E and needed pieces 3/4/7...3 being the front of the dress placed on the fold! No pattern piece 3 in the package...but there were 2 piece 4! Of course I improvised and used piece 1 from the other dress and had to cut the front lower. Ok for an experienced seamstress, but not for a newbie! Time constraint or I would have sent it back!

I made pattern E. I am new to dress making so it took me all day to make it but it was easy to sew up. Planning to use it as a summer pj. Made mistakes by misunderstanding (not reading the instruction thoroughly ) where to fold on the backside and instead folded around armpit in the back and had to redo after back pieces sewn together. It is too large (5’1” and size A) for me , I added a tack on the back to fit a little better. Also, shorter skirt was still too long and I shortened the pattern five inches. Next time I will remove two inches from both front and back. Overall, I like the ease of making, look of it, and versatility of the pattern.

Pattern was easy to cut out. Easy to sew. Very basic dress.

I like this pattern because it only had four pieces. I made two dresses out of it, and they both turned out pretty well. Beware of the pattern measurement markings, though, my dresses had to be taken in because the size I cut turned out to be larger than the measurements printed on the pattern. It was a good experience learning how to do the binding around the collar And arm holes. I’m just learning how to make dresses and this was a good pattern to start with.

The ink was really substandard on my pattern paper. In some places it was heavy and made the writing a solid black box. In others, the cutting lines were virtually nonexistent. The lines had bled through the paper, marking the pieces beneath it to the point that one piece was confusing while cutting them out. I haven't started sewing yet, but I am not a novice. Hopefully the directions are clearer than the pattern paper.

This pattern is very easy. If you are a beginner at sewing this pattern takes only a couple of hours to construct after cutting it out. Dress is very comfortable and attractive. However like most patterns, they tend to run small. Make the dress one size larger than you normally wear.
