Got this to add sensors to our obsolete Testifier kit. Which is not a Klein Tools tester. It works flawlessly. Highly recommend if you are looking to add more sensors to your set.

This is a must have for anyone that works in networking. I use these with my VDV Commander and it has saved me a lot of time in having to chase down wires and waste time toning. I bought this kit and shortly thereafter I upgraded to the VDV Commander from the Scout pro and the new kit came with another full set. I tested to see if using all of them worked in identifying. Once the Commander identified a number, say 2, I just swapped one for another number and was easily able to track it down. It's nice to know that I can use both kits when I need to identify more than 19 wires.

I lost the lan mapper plugs for the VDV Scout Pro 501-053 (someone left the box they were in at a job site), and these worked flawlessly. My original kit 5 RJ45 and 5 Coax, but I have never used the Coax (nor do I ever anticipate using them). This was the perfect replacement/upgrade.

I purchased one of the Klein Tools VDV501-809 VDV Scout Pro Tester Kit a year ago for work. I use it every day and it works great. I'm a telecommunications specialist and the 19 piece add on kit is a must. I believe many will find the 5 pieces that come with the unit to be enough, but you never really know when you'll need more. They are a must as they will save you more time than you can imagine. You can also get a 19 piece cat 5 kit as well. I have also found if the toner number you put on a line, say number 5 for example and your meter says 11. You can be pretty sure the cable itself is bad. It might work ok for some applications like cable tv or cctv setups but could be the cause of a poor picture. Having this kit makes it very easy to tone out many coax lines at once.
