**Q: Is it possible to just hold it in one hand and turn the crank with the otther?  Have sharpening blades  stayed sharp?**
A: No, you must hold the pencil in place with one hand and turn the crank with the other. My blades have stayed sharp.

A: Greetings to you, my friend.  I do recall buying this very beautiful El Casco Pencil Sharpener, from Amazon, back on February 29, 2016, but unfortunately I can’t remember if I did receive it with the black box – you’re talking about.  Anyway, all I can say here is that it is a very beautiful device that looks great on my desk and had so many of my friends impressed by its beautiful look and design. Pocas veces he tenido entre mis manos un objeto que, al examinarlo por primera vez, me sorprendiese tan gratamente como éste afilalápices. No sólo sorprende, es más, emociona. Resulta difícil describir la agradable sensación que transmiten sus formas, limpias y de diseño clásico, así como la calidad de unos materiales que parecen haber quedado impregnados del mimo con el que el afilalápices ha sido fabricado. Al cogerlo, sientes que tienes en tus manos una pieza especial. Sinceramente, he tardado muchos años en adquirirlo. Ahora que lo poseo, sé que he invertido en algo más que un buen afilalápices, que también lo es.
