Live In Las Vegas - A New Day...

I would not believe any performance would be flawlessly perfect until I saw this! The choreography is amazing and I was stunned by all of the visuals. Celion Dion is probably one the best if not the best singer on earth. Im a typical guy who does not enjoy most musicals or sappy concerts. What amazed me is the artistry in this show!

This is not just a music concert. Celine Deon puts on a great show! This is a big Las Vegas production in a special theater with a huge stage for the large supporting cast of dancers and singers! She starts the show by belting out some tunes with notes that very clear, beautiful and so high she has to hold the mic off to the side! During the show she saves her voice a bit when singing and dancing with the cast dancers. She sings many of her own song's, pop songs, show tunes, does one French song and even does a tribute to Frank Sinatra’s version of New York, New York! It is a long show with many costume changes during dance interludes so we ate diner during the intermissions!

Excellent blu-ray. I read some reviews and was a bit nervous that it may not work on my player. I am very happy to report, that there were no issues. Perfect picture and excellent sound. Concert was terrific. The extras great as well. Loved the behind scenes of what a day in the life of the working artist is like. In short they have a very hectic work schedule. But all work as a wonderful team together. I'm a new fan of Celine Dion and she truly is a wonderful performer-singer, actress and humanitarian. Especially enjoyed how she connects with her fans. Very tender moments shared. I recommend this set to anyone who enjoys entertainment 😄. Loved it..I hope you do too.

I can watch this over and over! Well worth it.

The DVD of her top-rated Las Vegas show during her final year is absolutely fantastic. This would be a great souvenir if you went to see the show live and a wonderful performance to watch and listen to if you weren't able to see her in Vegas. I recommend you buy the two-disc DVD set---the special features are outstanding since after you watch her live show you can then watch from backstage as they are doing the show and then watch the interviews including footage of Celine at home with her son and husband. Her voice is amazing and the selection of songs for her final year of shows is great. I suggest you Google Celine Dion and her "A New Day" DVD and see and hear a sample of the show, esp. "River Deep, Mountain High" if you haven't seen her perform this song the way she did it in Vegas. Note: although the song was written by Phil Spector for Tina Turner, Celine's rendition is so much sexier and polished than Tina's recording of the song. This is a must-have DVD and will be a classic!

I can think of nothing about Celine that hasn't already been said. Her voice is immaculate, and is the best of anything that has ever been! As to why I only gave this DVD four stars definitely isn't because of Celine! It's the French version of what is art. The two French-inspired dummies on stage at all times really distracts from Celine's performance. The bald headed chalky white French mime is completely out of context to Celine's performance, and he seems to lumber into just about every song. The Phillip Morris-styled mime also adds absolutely nothing to the concert except to detract from it. The choreography is, of course, also French, and has no recognizable relation to the songs Celine is singing. Maybe I'm just being a typical American who isn't 'contennetial' enough to appreciate the French art, but afterall, it's in Las Vegas and not France. I would still buy this DVD to see and hear Celine. The visuals and music quality is impeccable as is Celine's wonderful voice. Celine can do no wrong in my book!!!!

Amazing Scenes/Audio/Video & Behind the scenes on this Blu-Ray DVD

I am not that much of a Celine Dion fan, but I do like some of her hits. I purchased this Blu Ray Disc so that I could demonstrate what an oustanding production looks like to those just getting into high definition. This is what I have to say; This is the way God would have done it if He had the money. Even if you are not a Celine Dion fan, you would appreciate this Blu Ray disc. This has undoubtedly the highest production values, bar none, than any other live production I have ever seen. The stage that she performs on is a state of the art, computerized marvel of a masterpiece of science and technology. The performance itself was flawless; afterall they had four years and 700 performances to rehearse. The more I watch this disc, the more I become a Celine Dion fan. This is the epitome of excellence in live productions. You cannot go wrong with this one and its well worth the money, and you'll want to watch it again and again. On the negative side, this has nothing to do with the contents of the disc, but the disc itself. I use a high end computer to play back my discs, either Blu Ray or HD with an LG Super Multi drive and Win DVD 9 and Power DVD Ultra software. I had some issues of erratic playback with Win DVD 9, the latest version, but none with the Power DVD Ultra. Dan Casey

The Blu-ray edition of this fantastic concert is a real treat. From a technical point of view it is a diamond, and should be the benchmark for all other to follow. From a emotional point of view, well thats another story... I am a grown man 37 years of age - and not what you would call a Celine Dion fan. I know her name and some of her music - and thats it. The fact is that I was stunned, - and just sat with eyes watering and mouth open, - totally blown away by this incredible singer. The show is ever surprising, and Celines extremely big and clear voice is breathtaking. The songs selected for the concert demonstates that this Girl can do anything from sweet ballads, Stevie Wonder Classics over Disco and more - and she does it with such feeling and honesty that you cant avoid being sucked in. This disc is one of the best HD experiences so far for me - and a prime example of when both the emotional and technical quality hits the peak, - as when Celine sings the theme song from Titanic more beautiful than ever, hitting that second gear in the last 1/3 of the song - the whole experience can make a grown man like me burst into tears being hit by goose bumps all over. Now I shared this with you - enjoy one fantastic concert that will leave you intrigued ..... - Celine Dion fan or not. Celine, thank you for doing this - this was truly a better day!

A great purchase and an incredible second disk. It follows Celine from home to right through the concert and back. It shows the backstage preparations, efficiency of the production, costume and set changes and an amazing well coordinated production staff. Celine is not just an incredible voice but an amazing entertainer and a compassionate and caring human being. Her being a Canadian exemplifies the traits that we are known by and we are so proud of this export of goodwill that it isn't really good enough to just say thank you Celine. You will be dazzled by the production and the show itself and please note the joy that is so apparent on the faces in the audience.
