Review: Much easier than individual parts. - My lawnmower was running erratically - surging/ seeking. Noticeable via RPM's up and down. Initially, I ordered individual replacement parts (main jet etc) which cost more than this replacement carburetor!! The parts are still on backorder and the supplier told me they were special order items and that I couldn't receive a refund!! I am/was choked!! Although all of it is a plastic POS it solved my problem. I received it in 2 days!!! A noteworthy mention: the carburetor does not come with a choke lever!!! Why? I have zero idea!! Really poor. Resolution is to remove the choke lever off the old one carefully without breaking it. It too is plastic!! Very stupid that this one part cost me 20% of the purchase price of my lawnmower!!!

**Q: the one i just got does not have a choke. there is only 1 hole for a rod not 2. i’m wondering if it’s the completely wrong carb but the part?**
A: Copied from my review, I hope this helps.

On my mower this replacement carburetor is slightly different and has a spring to operate the choke on the carburetor. The original carburetor had a linkage bar to a spring attached to the front of the lawnmower. If you come across this remove the choke linkage bar (it's not needed). Just attach the governor linkage and reassemble your mower. Verified with Briggs & Stratton the 594058 carb is the only carburetor listed engine Model 104M020008F1

**Q: Will this work on model 104M020131F1?**
A: No. This is aftermarket carb. It didn’t work for me. It states Briggs and Stratton but it’s not. Be careful and purchase OEM.

**Q: Does this fit the briggs 625exi 1500 cc motors built in 2018?**
A: Don’t think so different carb

I've had this Briggs mower 6 years now, my brother gave it to me because it "didn't work". I cleaned the carb and it worked fine, but I had to do this often, and it surged a lot. It smoked a lot too. Eventually it would take stay running once it warmed up. Bought this carb as a last ditch effort and I wish I got it much sooner. Runs flawlessly now. At your own risk: Try to do this on an empty tank. Remove the top cover/rip cord. Pull the air filter cover and filter. Use pliers to pinch the ring on the fuel line by the carb and work it to the center of the fuel line. Lift the gas tank up carefully, tip it back, then pull the fuel line from the carb. Now remove the screws holding the plastic plate to the carb. You may have one link or two, I had two. One goes to near the back of the motor and the other goes to the exhaust. I removed the one going to the exhaust and stored it. Now pull the carb, then wiggle it to free up the other link. Push the linkage onto the new carb, slide it into place and reverse all that you've done. 10-15 minutes and you'll be good as new.
