That's a good thing though. I have tasted it straight out of the jar and have used it to saute some veggies... It tastes amazing! Like butter on steroids. I can't wait to try it on popcorn! I was at my local health food store today and they had the less expensive ghee there, so I figured what the heck, I would compare them. The less expensive brand is noticeably more pale, and the smell is fainter and not as nice. Tasting it straight, it definitely does not taste anywhere near as good as this brand... It almost had a chemical aftertaste to me. I have not tried cooking with it yet, but I doubt that will change my opinion.
