I purchased this compact pepper spray because I am an avid runner and there was some concern of a deviant in the neighborhood where I run. I've also encountered some unleashed, vicious dogs in the past, so I figured that some sort of repellant would be good for safety. When I first purchased this pepper spray, I sprayed a bit in the sink and leaned in, just to ensure that it works--and yes, it definitely works. I feel confident that it should temporarily disable any attacker I encounter. And it fits perfectly in the palm of my hand, and is not a hinderance on my keyring, either. It also never leaks or discharges accidentally. Overall, very satisfied with this product, although I hope I never have to use it!

I ordered this recently to replace a unit that "expired" nearly a year ago. I have not used this item, and hope I will never have to. However, I did spray a tiny amount into my kitchen sink just to test that it worked. I can't speak to the strength of the solution or its ability to incapacitate anyone, or even to the range of the spray, since I have not tested those things. However, I was happy with the casing, especially because there is a clear overlay so that you can actually read the bottle and the expiration date. On my previous keychain bottle, it was entirely encased in opaque plastic, and the expiration date was printed on a sticker which rubbed off in my purse over time (and then the permanent marker I used to write the expiration date on the case after the writing on the sticker wore off also wore off). The sprayer part and little safety mechanism that prevents it from accidentally spraying is similar to my old unit and others I've seen at stores, and seems to be a reasonably good design. You can't go wrong for $8 (lightning deal) and free shipping.

Works great! Well we tried it out and it shot a good 10 feet plus. I got it for my daughter since she is driving. It fits great on her keychain and doesn’t get in the way but still is in good shape. She has had it since Christmas

I ordered the pink SABRE spray to replace my wife's aging SABRE unit. Her previous one came in a heavy red leather snap case, while although nice, I would imagine it would make accessing the spray button itself a bit cumbersome in a real-life situation. So, I would say the main benefit to this new unit is that it is very easy to fire off a shot quickly if needed. To get acquainted with it I did fire it off as the manual suggests. It’s very easy to rotate the trigger tab over and down. It sprays a nice sharp stream that leaves an orange mark on its target.My only concern is our two-year-old getting ahold of it. For some reason he was never interested in my wife’s old one, but as soon as he saw this on her key chain he went for it. My only advice is to be careful around little kids because I think they could easily set it off, while with the old unit it was much more difficult due to the rigid snap cover.I have included a picture of the old vs. new unit.

After having to face off against two pit bulls in my yard at one time, I purchased this small, powerful spray as a defense for my small Chihuahua dog. Fortunately, I have only had to use it once when a guy let his dog run loose out of his sight. By the time he finally arrived on the scene, the Sabre Spray had changed this moderately large dog's idea about Chihuahua hunting. The guy who owned the dog didn't see fit to come to my aid and never did although I did seem him join up with his dog after the dog retreated. Now I have several of these. Oh yes... this sprays a surprisingly strong spray at 6 feet - I practice against my wooden fence.

Everyone needs to get one of these. I got it for my son who was threatened on his job delivering food. He is 2500 miles away from me and I can't be there to protect him. It was a situation with a bigot and almost a hate crime that has me worried sick. If you have vulnerable people in your life, or feel afraid at times yourself, please get this for protection. It is non-lethal and effective. I have had one for years and thankfully never used it. It is insurance for your safety.

So I bought this product around Sept when the area around my neighborhood started getting pretty bad. I bought 3 that I planned to distribute to my mom, myself and one in my car. Since Sept I have used two of the three that I bought since I didn't end up distributing them to my family members. Both of the ones that I have used have broken, the cap has fallen off or it has just simply broken. Let me remind you that I keep this on my car key chain and they have never lasted over two months each. This was $6.00 but I feel like it should have still been better quality. This does shoot the pepper spray perfectly fine though, it just breaks really fast. I'm going to switch out the one that broke into the last one I have, after that one breaks as well I will purchase another one from a different brand.

Haven't had a chance to use this yet, but I always renew my key chain pepper spray! This is compact, bright pink (so it's visibility will help deter anyone who wants to harm you) and compact enough to take with me on dog walks (lots of dogs running around in my neighborhood). The safety always stays on despite me jingling my key chain all over in my purse, and definitely brings a woman on the go like me some peace!
