Needle appears to be OK. TERRIBLE packaging by seller.
As far as I can see, the needle to be OK. HOWEVER, the seller (not Amazon) mailed it to me in a plain white, legal sized envelope with no padding whatsoever via the USPS. The envelope arrived with pieces of plastic all over the inside of the enclosed shipping order as the needle's case had been broken by the USPS machinery. I'm luck that the needle was still inside and some USPS employee was stabbed by it. This is a specialty needle which I will not be using with any frequency and now I don't have a case to store it in between uses.
