Too early to say what my first batch will taste like since waiting a month to tap it, but easily 5 stars for quality construction and looks for this 3 liter. Barrel and stand very solid. No flaws to be seen. Followed instructions and filled with water for curing. Was a small leak at one spot that stopped after about 36 hours. Been filled with booze for a week and not a drop leaking anywhere. The engraving looks great as well and they sent a bonus shot glass!

So, this is my second 2 ltr aging barrel, but the 1st one from Red Head Barrels. First, I have the say the engraving is fantastic - exactly what I was going for. During the initial 'hydrating' period for the keg, I had 0 leaks during the process. I changed out the water daily for a week to ensure the wood was thoroughly soaked, and not a single leak during the process. There was 1 minor hiccup, in that the spigot handle did not turn properly - it wouldn't open the tap. But I reached out to Red Head and they responded very quickly, apologized for the issue, and sent me 2 replacement spigots free of charge. Now, I'm aging some actual Amontillado sherry in the keg, then will rotate with aging an islay scotch. Overall, it's an excellent product, with absolutely no complaints on my side.

After I received the barrel I rinsed it out 4 times with hot water before I filled it with hot water and set it on end in a large bowl. The barrel didn’t leak at all but, left it for several days to make sure. When I layed it down on its stand I did have a small amount of water on the tip of the valve. I put a shoot glass under it and within 3 days it stopped. I then drained it and filled with my blend and haven’t had any problems. The barrel doesn’t look like it will hold 3 liters but, it does. Great little barrel.

This product came and shipped so quick! It was a wonderful design and custom look. The customer service was awesome, as the button to upload my custom design wish wasnt working, they helped me send it through an email and it turned out wonderful. I do think the price for a 1 liter barrel is a bit high. I should have gone with a two liter, as it was smaller than expected. Overall, it looks great and will make a great Christmas gift for my dad. Would buy again!

This exact one was a gift. For myself, I have the non-engraved version and the whiskey that comes out of here tastes delicious! I actually set up the barrel (cured it and everything) and filled with whiskey prior to actually giving it as a gift. It does take some effort to cure it. Leaks are to be expected, but were fixed easily with the wax. The engraving is awesome. I made a custom graphic and sent it to the seller and it came out perfectly on the barrel.

Very pleased with my purchase. The engraving was exactly what I wanted, perfect. Very fine craftsmanship on the barrel compare to the cheaper ones we have bought in the past. Curing the barrel per directions , there were no issues with leaks. Will be back to purchase another barrel when the time comes. Will update once we sample the product after aging.

Redhead Barrels are about "They Business!" They are quick with the drawl. The barrel always is shipped the same day you order it and the design is always superbly recreated. I Love My barrels. I have 5 and want another one. Thank you so much, Redhead Barrels!

This product is a complete disappointment. The barrel arrived with multiple visible damages: cracks in the wood, deep scratches, and a poorly finished spigot that is splintered and badly assembled. The nozzle is poorly sealed, with visible glue residue, and it leaks. The wood looks dry and untreated, giving the impression that it’s either reused or of very low quality. There are dents and broken areas across different parts of the barrel, making it useless for both decorative and functional purposes. The product quality is nowhere near what is shown in the listing photos. This is not a new, well-crafted item and it’s definitely not suitable to hold liquids. I’ve reached out to the seller over a day ago and have not received any response. ⚠️ I do not recommend this product under any circumstance. It feels like a scam. I’m uploading real pictures so others can avoid making the same mistake.
