No, it's much brighter. It doesn't 'glow' of course, but the color is so much more intense. Hope this helps.

Do these dyes glow brightly under a blacklight?

I haven't tried these food dyes to colour foods as yet. I did smear a drop of colour onto white paper and use a UV torch, the only part to glow was the white paper. Perhaps try white, no colour for a bright glow.
