It was a real eye opener how much difference these new blades made to my shaver performance. My previous set was probably ageing more than I thought. I don’t recall such an improvement with the previous set which were from a cheaper but unknown supplier. Having read all the reviews I decided not to take a chance on saving a few quid for a (possibly) inferior product. It’s impossible to tell if they are unbranded and off the same production line. I may have overpaid but, at this price point, I am happy to regard it as ‘insurance’ for a product that met all my expectations.

My Norelco Philips electric razor started making very loud noises when running, for no reason at all. I hadn't cleaned it or done anything differently, I just turned it on and it sounded like a truck driving by. I did some resarch on the computer and learned that if it was dirty that could cause it, so I cleaned the blades carefully and still very loud sounds. Then I discovered that you are supposed to replace the blades every year or two and I haven't replaced them in about five years or more. My research said that was the problem. The metal blades wear down and it causes friction and loud noises. So I ordered this set from amazon, got it the next day, put them in the razor, turned it on and lo and behold it works fine, runs nice and quietly just like before. Odd thing, the front of my razor says Series 2000 but the back in very small print says Series 3001 and replacement blades use SH30. Odd, but thankfully the blades fit. they are circular except for the two little "hooks" that stick out to hold them in the holder and work fine. I considered buying a no name cheaper brand, but others reviews said they gave them problems, didn't fit snugly, didn't last long, so I decided you get what you pay for. Maybe I 'll get another five years out of these blades!!!
